The styling seems somewhat reminiscent of one of these...

This is a good thing. smile
And this looks like a squished, elongated one of those (if you squint a bit...)

We can't really afford them in Portugal, why make it available here?

Good point!

I like this thing. And someone up there said that none of the target market have heard of Lagonda - wasn't the old Lagonda pretty popular in Arab countries? I'd imagine also in affluent British run areas of the time too like Hong Kong.

there are few things that will match this for road presence - much like the Towns Lagonda which still has huge presence if you see one. Not everyones styling cuppa but very exclusive and now quite collectable.

I really want to like this, and I know looks are a subjective thing, but this is an ugly car. The proportions are wrong, the back pillar far too chunky and it just doesn't look right, which is a shame because it should be a beautiful, stunning car to say its on a limited production run. I know they're not comparable, but I'd much rather own a Tesla S, or an XJ.

Renault Laguna at the back Ford Fiesta at the front. It probably started life as a picture on a fridge. Do I want one? Yes.

Unfortunately, though not surprisingly, it seems it won't be coming to North America. It's a shame, as they could've easily sold all 200 here, plus, going by the photographs, it looks quite large, to say the least. Big, powerful, 4-door car? Sounds like it belongs in America. Alas, meeting Federal crash and emissions regs is quite difficult and expensive, particularly for such a limited production run.

I'd imagine it must be the crash regs that are keeping it from coming here. After all, the drivetrain is the same as any other big Aston, so the emissions wouldn't be any different from a Vanquish, DB9, or Rapide.

Granted, AML originally said they weren't going to sell the V12 Vantage here, due to difficulty in meeting the crash regs, yet they've managed to sell them here, anyway. Perhaps there's still hope for potential Stateside customers?

With Lagonda's American heritage you would think there was reason to sell it in the US. But I guess that is just too tenuous now....Jay Leno likes them!

I'm sure it's all in the extra development cost to meet US safety regulations vs. the low volume. I guess it just doesn't make business sense.

I suspect the car was not as well received in Middle East as anticipated, which meant they had to extend to other markets.

Production run of 200 has not increased as a result of extension to other markets.
