mind u west of banbury is europes biggest arms dump so that might limit the working car/body choice..

That. Something classic and diesel. Less likely to have been killed, easier to find/make fuel for.

Carburettored diesels are pretty difficult to find though.

Peugeot 106 1.5d, literally bomb proof.

A friend had one and the rad burst, so he took it off and ran some pipe back round, lasted a year or so before he scrapped it

Have to agree there. The no.1 thing to do would be to get you and your group away from other people that will want to take anything useful from you. All the dheads you meet on a daily basis that do dhead things will turn into super duper dheads if society broke down. The riots in 2011 were a good indication of the mentality.
