Does this fit with the stereotype?

Well id rather they sell bucket loads of them even though it's not my sort of car, any development penny's for jaguar has got to be a bonus as long as they are not spending it all on jaguar suv's
F PACE is going to be epic, really can't wait for it. I can't ever remember any UK company developing product as quickly and as well as JLR. Every product they have produced under TATA hasn't just hit the target, it's hit the bulls eye. By this time next year Evoque will be the oldest Land Rover!

Totally disagree. I own one and I've driven hundreds. I've also driven them both off road and on back to back with all their competitors on a number of occasions. The Evoque is the most capable vehicle in its class, beautifully styled, opulently equipped and very well built. That is why it has sold in huge numbers all over the world and continues to do so.anonymous said:

I'm not sure your 100% correct on the substance thing tbh. When I got mine an off-road day was included and around the course, ok I know its built with LRs in mind so it's going to flatter, I could go anywhere (almost) in an evoque that I could in a vogue. To be fair its lack of ground clearance did let it down once or twice, but it wadded through nigh on 1m of water and managed the 1:1 no problem.Your right though I bought mine cos it looks superb and is a great place to be, most off-roading I do is over a kerb!!
Be interesting to see what the new engines are like. The current ones do need a remap to bring out the best in them thats for sure. Still get left for dead by my mates audi macan though...ugly car that.

Porsche Macan surely? Totally different car, much more expensive. Macan is a blast to drive on dry tarmac, had a chance to drive several in some mud in Georgia last year. Not so good...foxhounduk said:
A drop top 4x4! Now why didn't I think of that?! No, honestly, this is a dumb idea but its the new niche for fools!!
I'm sorry, but people who make these sort of comments have zero knowledge of the brand.Every Land Rover model ever produced (save the Discovery) has either been offered with a drop top option, or had a conversion available through a specialist company.
