Dealer Scratched My Car!

nothing wrong with 15 seconds of it mind don't want to wear out my wrist you no 
I went and looked at the usual washing squad at the back of the service areas.
They use sponges and chamois leathers which obviously is not ideal and very easy to scratch paint.
Told them the cons of this and the pros of using proper products like wash mitts, microfibres et al.
Person dealing with me came back with "well they're BMW approved sponges so definitely wouldn't scratch the paint I don't think".

Anyway, like I said, hopefully tomorrow the car will be back to its best!

No point creating another thread. My car went in last week to have all alloy wheels refurbished. The dealer said they'd send the wheels to their chosen specialist. When I tracked the car it was based in a location far from the dealer. Anyhow, the car came back with what looks like cat scratches on the bonnet. The type where your nail gets stuck.
I pointed this out to the dealer who said they'd need to investigate. What are the chances they will wriggle out of a bonnet respray?
The inspection sheet shows no marks or damage when the car went in. I have known these to go missing or be falsified. When I dropped it off we counter signed a sheet stating no damage of marks.

Had my car in for its service (bmw cooper Reading) and noticed 2 dinks in the door and light scratches all over the car which were not there before.
I mentioned this to the representative who alerted a manager & my car was taken back inside for the problem to be rectified. After awaiting nearly 45 mins car came back with scratches still there but dinks sort of sorted. I said i didn't have time for it to be taken back again and left.
Had a few hours to ponder over this will be complaining and asking for this to be sorted.
Anyone else had bmw do this?

100%! The car was very dirty (recent weather hadn't helped) and i always detail my cars so knew those scratches were not there before. Going to wash and polish it myselfto see if they buff out and most certainly will never let bmw wash my car!My brand new one month old Landcruiser came back scratched from the Toyota dealer today. Only went in for its first 1,000km check but unknown to me they washed it. They use long handled nylon bristled brushes and a bucket. I am incensed as I was very particular to tell them not to go near the landcruiser with those brushes when it was being prepared for me to collect. So I thought id hardly have to advise them again a month later.
Never let the dealer wash your cars - I always leave a not "Do Not Wash" taped to the windscreen but today I assumed washing would not occur as they told me the 1,000km check would only take 15 minutes.
Going in tomorrow to have it out with them and to get the €390 I spent on Toyota paint protection back as it does no such thing even at the hands of so called experts at the dealer.
Needs a full body detail now as the whole surface of the entire jeep is ruined.
