Hi there, are you losing an argument?, why not change the subject with our handy subject-changing guide or maybe claim offence at some mild insult, you could also try to steer the debate onto grammar, all of these handy hints are available in our "Help!, I'm losing an argument" guide just £3.99 from all good bookshops...
fk, I paid £5.99 for it wink

3rd party liability insurance should be compulsory for cyclists (and all other road users)

vehicle excise duty: I already pay the same for each of my bicycles as I do for my Renault Zoe

I've got a morning owl, he hunts with me for about eight miles at this time of year. What a brilliant way to start the day thumbup
Amazing things, silent and according to last night they can hold 40kmh easily enough smile

Another good couple of hours up around Rutland, loving it up here. Pulled over twice to let cars through, had a couple give way. Anyway...taxation, insurance...where were we?

Such a ridiculous argument which highlights the uneducated among us.

I do believe that all road users should have some form of insurance.

The uneducated being those who don't know that membership of the CTC or BC gives TP cover?

As has been mentioned above, the police etc can't even keep on top of vehicle insurance, let alone the extra work for cyclists, horse riders, pedestrians etc.

Rutland is awesome, I ride there, round it then back home smile

Had a nice commute this morning, the owl was about and was flying about three feet away from me for a while. You don't get that commuting in the car and the best thing is you don't even have to pay for it biggrin

How long does your commute take and is it 20 miles?

I recently changed jobs and am now 25 miles from work. I need to get back out on the bike as I stopped last year when we had a baby and the belly is getting me. Would be good if I could do the commute on the bike at some point. smile

it varies out on the fens! My regular commute is 17.5 miles and takes between 48 mins and an hour and a half depending on the wind. 25 is quite doable once or twice a week if you pick your days and allow for recovery.

You'll need a full on roadie!!

Thanks. 48 mins is good.

I would indeed. I moved house a year and a bit ago and dug out my old Coppi and Bianchi bikes. Just need to get my lard arse on them now. smile
