Best 964 RS Colour?

I know, it's daft to be honest.
If I remember rightly, it stated that new cars were fine, but anything over 5 years had to meet a load of restrictions.. Even though like you said, new cars create loads more emissions initially, at least by buying used the car's already on the road.
I'd found a really nice Elise S2 just within budget, but it was 163g CO2 and the limit is 160g
To say I was disappointed would be an understatement
Haha so close!!! Fair play for trying! If I remember rightly, it stated that new cars were fine, but anything over 5 years had to meet a load of restrictions.. Even though like you said, new cars create loads more emissions initially, at least by buying used the car's already on the road.

Speaking of Ruf..
They have had some lovely colours over the years. Dark green is a personal fave of mine- perhaps not on an RS, but on a Carrera or Turbo, oh yes!
Awesome! Under rated, under appreciated, perhaps because its not a bright colour. A gold set of wheels, BBS LM or similar, would set it off nicelyThey have had some lovely colours over the years. Dark green is a personal fave of mine- perhaps not on an RS, but on a Carrera or Turbo, oh yes!
Best green i have ever come across was 'Aventura' - I had a 95' 993 C4S that I bought for £30k and sold for £34k 3 years later, which of course i should never have sold. But the colour was an incredible metallic flip which varied from 'British Racing Green' to Slate Grey depending on different angles in different light.

As i have said all along, Maritime Blue. Actually saw a 964 RS in Maritime yesterday at Southbound and am in the process of sorting for my Turbo

Personally i think they are both vile and bland, respectively! Well, as some of you pointed out I was perhaps a little premature in my dissing of Guards Red; as now she has actually arrived and I've had the polish out, I'm pretty much won over to the original colour! Talk about answering one's own questions!
Probably helped that at a local car show at the weekend there was a constant stream of people talking about the 'red porsche' .Ego massage for sure. Anyway, here she is, sitting slightly lower "RS Touring" spec with slightly wider spaced wheels and now on original Cup 1s.

that pretty much sums up my feelings after this weekend. 1. cleared out, cleaned and painted garage in slate grey for car (ostensibly for Wife's car...haha)
2. drove in through the back of a local retro show and parked next to another 964(gatecrasher?)

Then whilst allowing garage to dry over the last 3 days...
2. adjusted the kw3 suspension
3. removed and cleaned all lights / ducts / rubbers/ mats
4. full leather interior treatment applied to interior
5. connected (invisible) ipod connector to original grand prix digital stereo
6. removed, cleaned, replaced Cup 1s (reps to original)
7. Spacers fitted to front (8mm) and rears (10mm)
8. washed, waxed, sealed bodywork and treated minor rust patch under bonnet liner
9. took it for a blast over the moor, which was about 400% more fun than my 996 Turbo (seriously!)
10. ordered more toys - front strut brace, Calliper paint (red obviously), "Carrera 2" badge - although I admit my finger wobbled about over the "Carrera RS" one!
More to follow...
