At the end of this month I'm looking to get rid of my current shed, I was originally just going to weigh it in but I think it'd be fun to do something more entertaining with it, it being a Peugeot 306 diesel.
I'm not interested in a banger rally, I've never really been far away from a crap car so the idea of paying for the privilege to take part doesn't appeal.
Some sort of endurance race would be right up my street but I'm not sure how I could make it happen, I did think that I could make a route around 40-50miles on some of the single track hill roads near here - I reckon my route would maybe pass 4 or 5 farms/houses so don't think it'd cause too much of a nuisance (it's not a loud car either).
I guess an open lane track day with another driver would work but then I'd probably need to think about brakes and tyres.
Any other suggestions? Anyone else want to send off their winter shed too?

Drive it to a nice southern area in its place of birth, scrap it there, drink some beer and fly home

Just looked into the Grass Tracking, looks like a bit more involved than just turning up, racing and driving home (if it lasted).

Northernchimp, if the car wasn't a total POS I'd have kept it running but I'm not prepared to spend what it needs to get up to spec.

I like that idea actually, it would be better to take it to the factory and ask them to take it back!

BFG, our local college seems to get pretty new Toyotas and Lexi, slightly better than the crap old Granadas and Novas when I went!

A road trip taking in as many in metalled/semi-metalled roads as possible. Then a track day, autotest or autocross

You could just get together with a few mates and have a no risk track day, no better incentive to give it 100% than knowing the car can be totalled! (I understand this could be dangerous for others on track)
