Tyreleader or Oponeo

Ordered 4x Dunlops & 6x MPSS (4 & 2) over the past year from Tyreleader and not had an issue but it appears that if you do, then you're in for some crappy times.
This pretty much seems the size of it. Tyreleader were around £60 cheaper than Camskill when I ordered last week, though that margin has shrunk to £30 since.
TL delivered 2 of the 4 MPSS tyres on Friday, after I'd ordered on Wednesday. Oddly enough the two delivered never showed as being dispatched (and still don't) whereas the other 2 - the ones still outstanding - were dispatched the same day.
One of the two delivered is about 1.5 years old, but the other is over 3 - when both were sold as new. Obviously not happy about this, and have tried emailing to dispute it, but no response yet and I'm not expecting one soon. Fortunately I bought them on credit card since I was wary it might go wrong in spite of the fact others have said they've had no problems.
By contrast I've been speaking to Camskill and they've replied to my pre-sales emails very quickly, including today.
Am now considering what I saved by going with TL is worth the inevitable hassle I now have to deal with regards chargebacks, slow/no communications, etc

Did you buy on credit card?
I did fortunately. Just have to wait another 6 days and the CC company are going to reverse the payment. Of course I'm in limbo at the moment though - car needs tyres but I don't know whether to order more in case these turn up.Never known anything like it.
That's good news anyway.
It's quite frustrating really since they seem to be capable of doing business, just not consistently. Not having any means to contact them outside of a lousy ticket system is bad though.
My fronts are turning up tomorrow, no doubt they'll be all over the place DOT wise.

Whats wrong with those people previously known as tyre giant?
Bought two sets from them before and after the name change, installed by a well known automotive after market plaice, good price no probs
Problem is that nobody can even come close to touching the prices of Tyreleader or Oponeo 99% of the time.Bought two sets from them before and after the name change, installed by a well known automotive after market plaice, good price no probs

To follow on from my previous post, the fronts have turned up and they're brand new - literally still in the plastic from Michelin. That's good, but now makes the rears even more annoying!
FWIW, the tyre retailer wrap them in plastic to send them via DPD. They come naked from Michelin, bar the sticker.jon- said:

Ah right, fair enough. They aren't brand new anyway, DOT 2814 from the looks of one of them - which backs up what you've said.I have requested a return with Tyreleader since I believe the tyres are "significantly not as described". One of them, as mentioned, is just over 4 years old. I hadn't received any reply from them after several emails until today, and in the meantime have initiated a chargeback/dispute with my credit card company.
Tyreleader have now told me that they can collect the tyres, but I will incur a £25/tyre fee. It doesn't seem to matter how many they collect in one go. Surely given that they've sent me 4 year old tyres in the first place shouldn't mean I should have to fork out for an arbitrary fee, should it?

You are finding out what I did the hard way, Tyreleader are an appalling company to deal with when problems arise with the order. Indeed.I've offered a compromise to Tyreleader that I'll keep the fronts as they're clearly unmarked and only ~1.5 years old, but I'm not prepared to accept a tyre sold as brand new (and priced as such) that is over 3 years old. I've filed a chargeback with Barclays anyway so hopefully that'll focus their efforts.
Ordered from tyreleader, they wont deliver to the highlands of scotland and due to no call/email contact UNTILL you have ordered you cant offer to pay the extra postage (were significantly cheaper than elsewhere).
Ended up ordering with them to my friends uni halls in Dundee, collecting/spending the weekend, then driving home. Still cheaper than the competition for what I wanted.
