The most I've paid was £1750 for my E46 328i three years ago, which I still have. It was quite well specced and cost £29k in 1999, which would be about £45k today.

The least is a tie, both 1995 cars, both £300: a Mondeo 4x4 2.0 Ghia, which was rather nice until I crashed it, and an Escort 1.6 saloon, which may have been the worst car ever made. That came with ten months' tax & test and more than half a tank of fuel, which meant paying about £95 for the car itself. Thankfully, it failed its next MOT, and I sold it on eBay for £127.

Next purchase is likely to be the £6-8k range, for an E90 330i, E39 M5 or perhaps a Z4 of some sort.

I wonder how we're all doing for horsepower per pound. I've spent a grand total of £4700 buying cars, and have owned 955bhp (annoying figure hehe )

£27k a few weeks ago on the XFR.

Previously paid £22k for a Focus ST-3 (STUPID) and £21k on a 370z.

Lot of money when you add it up like that.

13K for a GIT Golf MK4. the spelling mistake is intentional.

Least was £350 on a Volvo 460. That was actually less st than the Golf.

Least? My first car was a £200 polo, but my parents bought that so don't think that counts. Least with my own money was another polo for £350. It was the 2 door saloon, 3 matching wheels, body was rough but solid, burnt more oil than petrol, then finally died after a few months. Sold it for about £200 I think.
Looking at buying another very cheap car and selling the Alfa to fund a bike. Mrs doesn't like the idea. Not the bike, the being driven around in a cheap snotter!

Most £15,000 in 2001 on a 10 year old "ex-minicab" wink - Still owned

Least £0 in 1999 (actually cost me £87 in diesel to collect it) - Still owned

Edited to add - Both did not involve any finance

20 grand on a year old Ford Galaxy, that hurt, 20k on a car I didn't want to replace the 22K Sharan I didn't want either, to be fair they have been useful and cant fault the Ford for what it is, but next one will be a car we actually want, rather than need, torn between a new Mustang or the Focus RS when it comes out.
