Anybody got an MQB Estate?

I have a 5dr Leon 1.4 ACT and it's excellent, drives and handles well on standard 17" wheels and a decent performance/economy compromise for daily driver. I think the ST has the same wheelbase as the 5dr so I would expect is similiar to drive. As you note, no DSG annoyingly. The hatch is now about £16,500 through brokers which is a bargain, expect the ST is about another grand.

Good to hear - yes the lack of auto with that engine is a bit perplexing. I'm used to being lazy with an auto now but I have no qualms about going back to a manual. What's your mpg looking like?I've used carwow and current best offer is around 18300 including the free tech pack - looks to be about £3500 discount. Have a car to trade in against which will help.
Can I ask what colour you have? Debating metallic, need to go see if solid red is okay or pay more.
Ta!

Long term mpg on the computer is 44.5mpg, girlfriend gets 47/48 on commute, I get low 40s when using it the weekend. Driven carefully on free flowing roads and it does get up to 50mpg.I've used carwow and current best offer is around 18300 including the free tech pack - looks to be about £3500 discount. I went for red as it suits the car and wanted to spend the money on a sunroof. Not seen a red ST but the dark blue suits it. The convenience pack is the must have option in my opinion.
Just checked drive the deal and price for the ST is 17,300. My dealer got within 200 of their quote so that should be the target.

Cheers for the info - mpg bang on what we both get with current cars. End of the day it's for dog and ikea duties but wanted something that looks a little "fresh" vs the usual estates.I went for red as it suits the car and wanted to spend the money on a sunroof. I'll look at the convenience pack thanks.
