Discoveries and the now older Range Rovers have their spare wheels nicked.

They sit underneath on a cradle held up with a wire and ratchet system, the scrotes snip the wire and make off with your spare. If you look on ebay there are a few sellers who seem to have come across a lot of spare wheels......

We had ours nicked last year, LR want £1000 for a replacement spare and new ratchet system.....

our estate has been hit 3 times in the last 12 months, some device that disarms the cars alarm and opens it, last time they hit about 10 cars, all VW/Audi and Landrover, just grabbing anything they can from inside the car, very frustraighting having to ensure nothings left inside the car each night and open glove boxes and trinket covers!

Thankfully the A6 and Skoda seems to be immune from this device where as the S3 was constantly getting left with all doors open.
Not a lot the boys on blue can do, it appears the gang hits numerous areas on a night (south Birmingham mainly)

Cat convertor thefts still going on- particularly from vans/4x4s where its easier to crawl underneath and quickly cut away.

At work recently, we also had all the rear bumpers/light rails nicked off the transits. s were in town at the time!

People I know, all cars nearly new.

Audi A5, BMW 1 series, Merc E Class, all stolen by hooking the keys through a letterbox or window.

None were recovered, I'd guess they got put on a container.
Saw lots of British high end cars last year driving on the streets of Bar in Montenegro (which coincidentally has a large container port). Likewise in Tirana, Albania, where we saw many British plated, mainly BMW and Audi saloons. No one seems to be concerned about it though-it seems to be accepted there that they can own nice cars for little outlay.

On a lighter note, last year some anus stole the Peugeot Lion badge off the front grille of my Peugeot 205 GTI. I know used parts prices for the 205 are on the up but certainly not for that badge. Either way it was their loss as the badge was rather discoloured, old and worn anyway, so past its best and hardly worth fitting to another car laugh
That reminds me of this a while back
