Anyone any experience of these?

If so, care to share your thoughts/experiences - the good/bad/ugly.

Worth paying the extra over and above similar products from the likes of B&Q, Homebase, Screwfix etc?

Rock solid throughout this period or any issues to report?

I wouldn't buy a B&Q/ Homebase (are they still going!?), Screwfix (although I believe they tend to sell quality manufactures) special. They're often in house brands not known outside of the retailer. Often unbranded also, so down the line, you've nothing to go on to identify them for spares. Which often leads to ripping it out and replacing. Same for taps etc. Get a brand label on it for future support.

Stick to a well known brand - Bristan, Crosswater, Grohe, Hansgrohe, Aqualisa, Roca, Triton etc etc. This way you'll be able to order parts anywhere and the support will be longer lasting.

Grohe are a well regarded manufacture.

Grohe are used in just about every up merket hotel in Europe, we use them in high spec houses. Very reliable, look great

Aqualisa have a crap warranty its half the length of most of their competition and some elements are unreliable. I have aquallisa at home and wouldnt have it again. We stopped speccing aqualis in our new homes several years ago as they were just too much hassle

They've been perfect, despite relatively hard water here in Bucks. I can also recommend Stuart Turner pumps.

Not really had any problems with the Grohe stuff in my old place apart from having to replace the thermostatic cartridge on one of our showers. Part was easily available.
We have renovated our bathrooms in our current place and have used Ghrohe stuff throughout as parts will be available for years to come and parts are cheaper than a new tap/shower.
Problem with the cheaper stuff is that when it goes wrong you will need to replace as there will be no parts for them.

I have a Grohe Rainshower. After almost 5 years it started vibrating (probably some kind of blockage). I called Grohe and they sent someone out to fit a replacement head free of charge. Otherwise it's been perfect.

I've got two thermostatics, both now 10 yrs old, can't fault them.

If you like fixed heads, try and find one of these from their commercial range, if you've got the water pressure they're amazing!

Many thanks for the feedback.

Order placed for a GROHE 27420001 Euphoria Shower System with 180mm Headshower, Thermostat, Handshower & Rail Set from Amazon for £209.

Research suggests this is a good price for this spec.

I've just gutted and refitted my bathroom and used Grohe taps, valves and shower systems. Really pleased with Grohe kit even with the exceptionally hard water in Berkshire.

Is this is a replace of existing or new install? DIY job or getting a trade in?

Had a Grohe double head shower in my old house and loved it. Beautiful design and quality engineering. Doing up the bathroom in our current house and will probably get another..........

Reviving this thread as I have to choose rainshowers for 2 renovated bathrooms.

Unfortunately other half is fussy on design and isn't a fan of the current range mad

What other makers of thermostat/shower heads are on a par with Grohe/Hansgrohe for quality?

Mira seem to get a good rep. Note that Grohe restrict the water flow out of their showers because of some eco-hippy water saving ethos which may not work well for you. It's not great for us, which is a shame as there is no denying that Grohe quality is top notch. Mira on the other hand actively advertise their showers as having the highest water flow on the UK market.

interesting - if I want to save water, money and the planet I will turn down the flow a little, don't want the shower head to decide for me

will check out Mira too

Had Grohe in my last place and it was great.

Have Aqualisa and Mira in my current place. Both are good. Mira is the better of the two.

When the Aqualisa breaks it will be replaced with another Mira (we have Platinum digitals).
