Leave it to Sbarro to design a car apparently for the anatomy of some undiscovered alien race. The drugs in Switzerland must be really good, or is it a lack of oxygen from the thin Alpine air? Either way, this is mental:

WTF??? That's either a real pain for the spuds or a fun drive for SWMBO
We'll just have to hope that Paris Hilton doesn't buy one.

Regarding the OP's remarks about a big stand with a classic Borgward coupe looking lost in the middle of it - I also stumbled on this yesterday. As it was the first open to the public day I guess that's why Sir Stirl had already gone off to cash his appearance cheque.

A rather large lady wearing a Borgward badge assured me that the "grandson of the founder" Borgward person has recently bought the rights to the family name back, & is intent on re-entering the car design & production business with a new product which will once again bear his family name.

I wished her good luck at this point, although I think my irony may have got lost in the translation.......

hehe I still can't stand the term "hypercar", yet I've begrudgingly started to use it, as well. How else do you make the distinction between say, a 458/488/McLaren 650S/911, etc. vs. the LaFerrari, P1, and 918 Spider?

Also, contrary to what the article stated, "megacar" is not a new term. I've heard it used, before, even on this very forum.

Granted, that doesn't make it any less cringe-worthy.

I've always been a big fan of the Borgward Isabella, but I have my doubts as to the future of this new venture.

Yep, hypercar was the first one to really get me going.

There is no need for these silly terms, they are all "sports cars". There are plenty of terms to differentiate between them such as horsepower, torque and acceleration. These terms have much more meaning to them too.

Supercar seems useful to differentiate the latest and greatest of these and as time goes by these limits are always going to be pushed but there's no need to use new words to describe the result.

Besides, at some point they're going run out of adjectives and will have to invent some which is even more silly.

It's fking ridiculous. Pretentious, sensationalising grandeur.

What about hypertrousers or hyperbicycle?

I'd like to be the first person to use 'Ultracar' on these forums.

Its for the next level up, after the Megacars get a little old hat.
