Going back to the BMW 550i estate in Japan - I had a look but there's no 550i, only upto 535i they have there! (and they are left hand drive if you want it as x-drive)

Apologies for bumping an old thread however a question for those in the know - do Merc 4matics sit significantly higher than the standard RWD version? As a comparison some of the BMW xDrive cars are excellent (especially the f30/31 335d) however the higher ride height makes them look slightly awkward to me.

No surprise there with the dealer! As far as I'm aware, this car is now called the C43 AMG. Originally the C450 was due for UK launch around June, although I have no idea if this is still accurate.

Just ordered one of these. Delivery slot is apparently July 22-29. Indeed it is called the C43 now, and I think the only difference from the review is that it now has Merc's new 9-speed auto, rather than the 7 described here.

Driving to the South of France on July 29th, so very much hoping it's here on time!
