It looks like it's trying way too hard.

Kinda pointless when you actually have 500 under the bonnet.

Tone it down, proper Q, then it becomes appealing.

That exhaust, ugh ... Just reminds me of someone who's done too much charlie...

Love it!

Surely the ultimate getaway car - plenty of space for accomplices, plenty of space for loot, massively quick, 4wd traction - and if you do end up in court, you'll have one eyewitness swearing blind they saw a Volvo estate, another that it was definitely a Subaru, the third that they saw a dark-coloured Mitsubishi - and you'll get away with 'wasn't me gov' biggrin

That is fantastic, even if it is ugly as fk. Suspension may need some money off the asking price. A lot.

I think it looks brilliant and I'm not normally keen on the aesthetics of this generation Stagea.

Very cool.

I wonder if anyone will actually pay £14k for a 15 year old Nissan, 500 bhp or not.

How much is an equivalent age Skyline?

Very different, and obviously stocking straight-line performance. But these guys are probably dreaming if they think they're going to get almost £14k for it.

Cool as hell though.

Definitely think that Stagea is cool but be hard pressed to buy it when a nice 500bhp r32 is basically the same price (this car sold in days at same price basically)

That's a cool car but the dealer comment on suspension is quite alarming!
14 grand for a car with shagged suspension ?

Don't most of these go for a grand on Ebay ?
You will never see an Autech 260RS for a grand. Did you miss the part about the RB26DETT? smile Nissan never made a Stagea with the GTR running gear.

This is a pic of the "standard" car from the Autech web site

Agreed. If it was top mounts it should be an easy job to sort so why the hell haven't they?!? If those dampers need a rebuild it'll be a £1500-2000 job.

Always liked the idea of them, but they are just too ugly. For that kind of money you could pick up an S6 with a V10 in it. Maybe not 500bhp but sure you could get it to that is you wanted.

Rather have a Glant VR4 or as others have said the forester.

Theres a standard one in my works car park with the 2.5 (rather than the 2.6) Looks ok but looks really long and narrow compared to modern metal around it.

A few years back Japanese imports made a lot of sense in terms of bang for your buck. Now I just don't think they do.

True. I was looking at E30 BMWs the other day and someone had an M3 up for £20k. Don't they know you can pick up a 318i for under a bag of sand...

On a more serious note replacement suspension wouldn't be expensive. I'd be tempted to replace the suspension on any (decent) car approaching 20 years old.
Not quite the point I was making; I don't know if the vehicle itself is good value or not but it appears to be a premium price. When paying a premium price it wouldn't be unreasonable to expect the dealer to prepare the car for sale. If that means it needs a new foglight and its dampers rebuilt then that's minor stuff. Rather than making a customer think 'why have you not done this?' - why not just do it and stand behind the car as mechanically spot on?

Or replace them with some decent new ones for around a grand.

Because you can't get decent coil-over dampers for a grand.

How about just binning the coil-overs? It's not like it's a track car and coil-overs have no place on a road car, IMHO.
