An insufficiency of Bombardier is diagnosed.

Taken in sufficient quantities many pubs' shortcomings can be overlooked.

This one is in the small village where my parents live (Marnhull, Dorset) - still in business for fuel, mot and repairs!

An oddity I have always enjoyed in Mayfair is the wonderful address of Farm House, Farm Street W1. The original house dated from the time when there were farms all around but it was rebuilt in the early 1900s. I've just looked it up; it has four bedrooms, a right of way through the house for sheep and is on the market for £25,000,000. But you would have to park in the road on a permit.
Almost worth herding a flock through Mayfair just for giggles. hehe

Went here this afternoon to fill up. It's in Llantrisant, not the Royal Mint one, the one near Usk. Fully functioning.

I filled up here today. Thropton, near Rothbury in Northumberland. Actually, I didn't fill up. My 4 year old put in 9.73 litres before they shut off the pumps. They were running low and not expecting a delivery until Monday so had to ration it. Anyway, nice little post office, village shop, MOT station and mechanic's all in one.

This was my Dad's garage in Mereworth in Kent. Stopped selling petrol in the early 2000s, but the pump was still there until they turned it into a house in 2013.

The sign is still there though as it's listed.

Champion. I enjoyed that tale.

From the back of a taxi tonight, I noticed that this one is no more. It seems to have closed about two years ago.

I used to fill up there occasionally.

It's a problem in central London that the petrol stations get redeveloped for housing due to the land value.

Soon there will be no more left.
