Pleasure.

[Conundrum explained: elephantine eBay purchase, vendor not willing to post but lived on my way home. Item intercepted, parcelled, posted and, by the sound of it, received. Job jobbed. PH Self Help Group working admirably. No interesting filling stations were involved.]

Prees Heath on the A49, spotted while taking the scenic route home from Manchester. Bonus points for having a disused pub attached?

Popped up to the lovely Cotswold town of Burford the other week. In Priory Lane and around the back of the Cotswold Arms is this:

If it isn't Art Deco it's certainly what I think of as Art Deco, so we can wallow in our collective philistinism. Marvellous.

Another thing warranting the epithet marvellous was your packaging of my consignment of 'special cargo'; no danger of them getting damaged. Cheers.
Really nice, it's either Art Deco or has been done in the Art Deco style, which, for some reason, adds a bit of class for garages/showrooms.

Creetown, in Galloway. Just off the A75. Old school slow pumps some of which used to be 4 Star pumps.

A surprisingly interesting thread, can't say we've had this one -

A little place in Barnard Castle, Galgate, still going strong as far as I'm aware.

Langwith, Derbyshire.

Proper 1 man place, and it's not self service.

Spotted these two on my travels today.

Station road, Talybont on Usk, Brecon.

There are a few old building next to it, seemingly home to a coach company.

Second one is Castle Garage, Crickhowell and seemed operational. (Google image)

Got a bit lost yesterday. Mrs C and I dropped off wheels in Rednal and chairs in Flixton on Wednesday, and yesterday picked up a table and chair in Tamworth and a pair of chairs near Barton in the Beans. Is it any wonder we got lost? Anyway, at one point we drove through Heather. No, seriously. Heather in north west Leicestershire. And this is what we saw:

I shall be visiting the Classics Left to Die thread presently.

Is it a legal requirement to have either a Landrover or some sort of Reliant slowly rotting at a derelict filling station?

wink

It's not a requirement so much as part of the definition.

This is the sign on the pretty high Street.

And this is the garage itself down the side street
