The Humer Unbeam Interesting Filling Stations Thread
Discussion
This is the tiny garage/petrol station called 'Plumpton Pitstop' which is situated on the corner of Plumpton Lane and the B2116 surprisingly in Plumpton East Sussex!
I pass it every day on the way to work and am happy to say someone is currently doing it up - I'm not sure for what purpose. I took this photo about 8 years ago and it did get very derelict after that:
You can read more about it's recent history here:

and some more pictures (by someone else) here:

Edit with an update already!

Morland near Penrith, Cumbria. 100% favourite petrol station would love to one day buy it and restore it to its former glory
One of my customers still has some of those pumps, in working order - they only dispense red diesel now, though.I'm going to see them soon, so I'll have to get some photos.

One from Northumberland - Otterburn. Probably mainly for the Howard Snaith coaches, but has one pump for diesel sales (obviously attendant)
And quite a nice one in Richmond
That used to be the main dealer for Subaru and Izusu until they moved it up onto the industrial estate and it is where I bought my Legacy in 2007. And quite a nice one in Richmond
Sorry if this is a repost.

A few from Doncaster:
Still very much open for business round the corner from me in Edenthorpe. There's a Tesco forecourt bang opposite but this place is always reasonably busy with truckers. I remember in the early 90's when my dad was a maintenance spark at the hospital he said it was the only place they were allowed to fill up the NHS works vans:

Linford's Garage, South Parade on the outskirts of the town Centre:

Oak Garage (Formerly G.C. Dexter Motor Engineers), opposite my late grandparents' house on a terraced street. Not far from the "Open All Hours" location.

And about half a mile down the road, W. Scrimshaw & Son. I've included this one for the mural garage sign on the wall of the terrace end which had a three digit then four digit and more recently six digit phone number painted on but the rest has been the same for as long as I can remember.

Greatly appreciated, that place has a sentimental value to us (and no, we haven't had a quickie behind the shed ).
Yeah right then! It's MacKenzie Stores, Staffin, Isle of Skye. It was last seen as sold and I can't see it on Google maps:

There are some new houses where it should be?

Crakehall Service Station, still going strong as a village shop and petrol station, despite being even more expensive that the A1M services up the road.
When I was young, dad gave up a career in the Nat West Bank to follow his dream of owning and running a village shop (much to mum's continued disgust), they bought the shop in Kirklington, N. Yorks and ran it from 1973 until they retired in 1999. For the first few years we had a concrete plinth with a Sadlers petrol pump at the front of the shop, which was hand operated by mum, dad or myself when I was old enough to crank the handle. Unfortunately the pump was decommissioned in the late 1970s when the law banned pump hoses from crossing the footpath (IIRC).
I'll see if I can dig out any photos next time I'm at my parents.

Nice to see my home town Llandod making an appearance. The town is also home to the superb artdeco Automobile Palace, a former BMC>Rover dealer
This excellent little station is on the "old A9" just north of Dunkeld. Scotland has some superb stations, closed and in use.
erm.... They were the right way up in preview! Any ideas?
