RE: Pagani Zonda 'Zozo' revealed
Discussion
Asymmetric (thus irritating). Lost the purity of lines of the C12, C12 S and F. Some who I know bemoan how the Countach "grew old disgracefully" and then cheer this. The world is an odd place sometimes. I'm looking forward to whatever follows the Hyuara, as that is not a pretty painting either (although currently unadorned by escaped vajazzling, at least).

Merc will still make them but they have a very large run setup fee, hence pagani buy 100 at a time for the normal production
100 at a time? You may want to check that number, considering only around 125 have been built, not all with the 7.3 engine. Not to mention when the company was younger it would have not had the money to invest in so many engines, with a risk that they wouldn't have so many orders to use those engines for.The bad: I give up. Can't keep up with all these unlimited limited editions Zondas.
The good: If we ever do lose track of the number of final-final edition Zondas we can swing by the owner of the first 2011 Final Edition and count the number of holes in his wall.
The ugly: Pagani's word. $2,300,000 was the price of the 2011 Final Edition. That's a hefty price tag for running joke.

This reminds of when I first saw exotic supercars up close at Goodwood. Many new supercars looked more ordinary and smaller than I'd imagined. However the Pagani Zonda and the Koneniggsegg CC looked amazing, even up close. I must have looked a bit strange stopping to look at every detail - almost like I'd never seen a car before. Once I'd taken them in I almost wanted to congratulate Horacio and Christian! Most dissapointing of all was the way that the Veyron looked. For such an expensive car it's very wide, but the styling is very ordinary. They tried to make it more special, with the many two tone special editions that looked more interesting.
Back to the 'Zozo' and that is a lovely colour. As someone said depending on who you ask it could be considered a bit vulgar, but I like it. If I was being critical of the Zonda I'm not a massive fan of the headlights. Also it's the only car that you have to wear sunglasses in, just so you can drive safely.
Seems like there is a fairly regular line of these one off's....

I am no Pagani beard so maybe these are well known about but I have certainly never seen photo's of the "X" and according to that website they were produced in the last year.
I've never bought the whole "AMG can't make any of the engines" argument. Surely Pagani have to be able to source engines if a) one breaks or b) somene crashes one badly enough to need a replacement.

Problem is you've only been following the mainstream car media with their lazy reporting. Pagani have never stated a car will be the final Zonda produced. It was taken up by the car media at one point, and so every story afterwards has been a "final final Zonda" - because their last story said the car before was the final edition so surely this one is the final one? But that's just because the one before that said the same. So the owners have no complaints as their car never was (at least publicly, and I suspect the same in private otherwise you'd be seeing layers at work) sold as the final Zonda. The good: If we ever do lose track of the number of final-final edition Zondas we can swing by the owner of the first 2011 Final Edition and count the number of holes in his wall.

The reason they are special editions is because the owners since the Tricolore have asked for a personalised name, so effectively all are personal choices from the selection of parts Pagani have already done and called after the owners request (or actually unique like the LM).

Here you go, although there is quite a lot of photos available:I've never bought the whole "AMG can't make any of the engines" argument. Surely Pagani have to be able to source engines if a) one breaks or b) somene crashes one badly enough to need a replacement.

Again lazy reporting. Throw enough money and you can get an engine, just it will be more costly as there is not likely to be a bulk order to lower the price per unit.
I saw this partially covered and mid assembly at the factory last week. There was a very similar one sitting next to it in a nice metallic blue - same diffuser and similar dark features.
They have stopped making Zondas though - they will make you one to order but that's it, there are no more being built for general sale.

It would appear the Pagani Zonda is aiming to grow old even more disgracefully than the Bugatti Veyron. While the big Bug has finally thrown in the towel (you would have to hope at least), the Zonda saga continues apparently unabated.
Hopefully cost was suitably exorbitantPagani's latest creation is the Zonda Zozo. Really, it is. Why? Because it has been commissioned by the owner of Zozotown, Japan's largest online fashion store.

Some of them have bespoke body parts too. One has an air vent designed to look like an eagle or something. Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
