Just posted on Twitter;

"Reporters outside my house: if you're going to hang around on small streets with your car engines idling all day, don't buy a bloody diesel."

Just sayin'

Someone needs to start dishing out £20 fixed penalties for that.

May needs to tread carefully. In the nanny BBC/Lefty state we live in, that could get him sacked too.

I completely agree with him. There's nothing worse than someone idling what sounds like a tractor outside your house when you've got the windows open.

Now watch the BBC licence fee rise to compensate for loss of revenue.

The fantastic thing about the TV license is that you don't have to buy one.

Sort of. They all expire at the end of the month, with Clarkson the only one confirmed as not being renewed.

May is very entertaining on Twitter. His bio has already been changed to "Former TV presenter" hehe

If you own a TV that is capable of receiving broadcasts, you do ....

Indeed. Thank god we're not becoming North Korea.

Completely false. We had a nice long thread about this in the Lounge recently. I suggest you go and read it before presenting "facts"...

Nope, only if you watch live broadcasts.

Why anyone would bother watching live TV these days is beyond me. However that's academic in my case as I live in a country that doesn't require you to pay to do so.

utterly wrong

you only need a license if you watch or record live broadcast (UK) TV, that includes live net stream's

you do not need it for catchup tv or any other form of media

I can't imagine any of them continuing with TG after this series is done, I'm looking forward to the next few programs really.

Perhaps Quentin Willson will be back. After all the BBC do have a habit of re-employing presenters. Personally I would like to see someone like Anthony Davidson or Ben Collins in the "hot"seat.

Quentin Willson, David Dickinson and Ann Widdecombe

They would have gone with james cordon but fortunately his extradition to the US has gone through and we are shot of the prick

The only things I watch(ed) on the BBC were Top Gear and Family Guy. fked that up haven't they.

I'd rather not pay TV licence and just be able to delete all the BBC st from my TV's/set top boxes.

Hang on, if there's one thing I've learned from the 'drive petrol not diesel' thread it's that modern diesels are whisper smooth and not clattery or agricultural in the slightest. James May must be mistaken.

Being sacked for a sustained assault on a work colleague is hardly a signifier of a nanny state - just a normal, civilised one.

I like JC and Top Gear, but that behaviour is inexcusable at the best of times - especially if, as we are lead to believe, it was over something as trivial as poor catering.
