Doesn't matter what category people are in, there are Knights of the road and retards in all categories. Yes, even Audi and Rangie drivers.

Never seen a courteous Audi driver, apart from me when I had one.

Women definitely need two categories, the nervous slow ones and the girl racers in bimbo cars, who always seem to drive hot hatches with names that end in the letter O, Clio, Saxo, Polo etc.

Worst male drivers are definitely in Audi A3 & A4s, closely followed by Pickups with monster names.

Worst commercial drivers, hired Transits and skip wagons.

Best drivers, Range Rover Sport, oddly they always seem to be making progress but mostly stay out the way of other drivers.

This is going to be contentious but I would like to add a missing category: Hasidic Jews.

I have previously lived in a very large Hasidic Jewish area for a very long time and arrived at the conclusion that along with the Japanese, Jewish people are missing the spatial awareness gene. Absolute menace riding bikes (always look as though they are about to kill themselves) and driving cars.

I visited my mother and her boyfriend the other night. As I was crossing the road, as if to illustrate my point, a Jewish family decided to alight to let a kid out of their car. Except they chose to pull up in a lane with traffic and inexplicably at a 30 degree angle with the back of the car jutting across the lane, causing an obstruction within 2 meters of a zebra crossing!

Anyone who thinks something as qualitative as driving (it's not just a case of staying between the lines) can be put into a list - de facto they are not on the list they create, suggesting a degree of overconfidence and thus a high degree of being involved in an incident.

Please don't make the generalization that's what all Chasidic Jews are like. I'm going to assume you're referring to somewhere in NW London?

As a Jew myself, going through some of those areas, I COMPLETELY get what you mean, but it's not fair to say that it's "all of them".

Dangerous combo when yo get a woman driver + 4x4

In my experience, there are a number of visual indicators that an expert driver can learn to spot which indicate that the driver of a particular car may be lacking in skill.

Some examples:

And, of course...

The irony in that reply

If you want a sensible answer that has some science go here http://www.who.int/violence_injury_prevention/road... Look at Box 2.1 on page 7 (27) for the list. Nothing there about women drivers or jewish people.

Let that be an end to it - like the last post though, would make a great Christmas BMJ issue article - "Causality associated with stupidity: a study into the role of bumper stickers and likelihood of being involved in a RTA' - any takers?
