Another vote for the 9-5 Aero estate. Bought a manual a couple of months back and absolutely love it. £1600, 118k and its so comfy.

Absolutely right, they are more scarce than the manuals but I still seem to see enough about. You'll pay a bit more for a manual, but if you're like me it HAS to be manual. I don't cover many miles so for me it is about the driving experience of a manual.

We pretty much gave one away. No time to sell privately; real shame. It was a solid car.

V70

We're on our second, a 2004 V70 AWD 2.5 turbo with every single extra. It's fantastic, it's so comfy, huge, well equipped. Very well put together. Goes well, comedy cornering, likes petrol but it's a lovely place to spend a long trip. We'll keep it forever.

For whatever reason I am sold on the idea of a Saab 9 5.

Only issue is that finding a manual is a little tricky! I know a lot of people say the auto is decent...is it worth waiting for a manual to come up, or pull the trigger and buy an auto box.
