Was quite common to change them to single Turbo back in NZ, i had a go in a BG GTB with V4 Sti spec engine and for me it was a better drive than my Twin turbo BG, yeah the VOD can be a bit of a pain if you change at the wrong time but as said you soon learn.

Enjoy the car and the roads ( I know them well) but don't get drilled discs. Slotted yes, but not drilled- they will crack around the holes.
A few cars have cast in holes in the rotors, but drilling is a no no for fast heavy cars.

Already have them gotten and fitted. No problems so far. A friend had the exact ones I got on his legacy which was running higher power than mine and he had the WRX 4 pot calipers on the front too. No issues from his so hopefully I'll be ok!
All going well I'll dodge any cracking in mine too and thanks for the heads up, something to be wary of in the future regardless

I had one of these, they're horrific inside but quite good fun, I think they feel fast but aren't really, 5th is fun and is a stupidly long gear.

I'll just leave this here, haha, that VOD!

The old VOD is much less noticeable with Rev-D cars by the way - you can find it by lifting off or changing gear at the wrong time but pulling through the revs its not an issue at all.

Your VOD looks bigger than mine was 4000RPM you could hear the valve open and the subbie tone go as it went parallel turbo

Yes it is true, you can map it to have better pick up between turbo's but it is a noticeable drop off...in reality if your driving the car properly, IE shifting gears at the right RPM and quickly, you shouldn't ever drop back into the VOD..
Sadly, it is true and quite noticable. Really annoying with the autobox.
