Hi,

Can anyone advise of reliable, low cost vehicle transport to move an old (986) Boxster from West Yorkshire to Hampton (South West London).

Doesn't need to be a prestige firm, I'm looking for a decent company that can provide a reliable, competitive service.

Many thanks,
Matt.

Might not make as much sense for you, over that sort of distance but my dad just moved his car (986 Boxster as it happens) using a hired low-loader.

Cost him £15/hr on a self-drive basis but he only needed it for max 4hrs.

I used shiply recently and got a very nice chap to deliver a car from Bristol to Lincoln. Was just over £150 iirc.

Another vote for this one.

You put up the job details and await the offers.

You can then see the previous reviews and just pick the one that suits you.
You pay a small deposit via the website and the rest you arrange with the person you picked.

I used it to move my gto 160 miles for engine work and was pleased with the service.

It's worth waiting a few days to get lower quotes as the initial ones can be much higher then the rest.

Thanks All - great advice.

I did stumble on Shipley today and site seemed good. Will try the other bid site also.

Matt.
