Hoping for a job change soon, in which case I will be doing <10k miles a year. I need 6 cylinders in my life and I have always loved the look of these. At 3 and a half grand, what's not to like?!

I love these. No idea how robust that particular model is, but it looks very tempting.

I've not heard of Deruibo tyres, but I'd budget for swapping them out. Otherwise I like them and it does look great value.

If you do get one, save up another 5000 pennies and go begging at the door of Wizard exhausts.

They are epic.

Good point. Would definitely not stick with those

That's a very good price, and reasonably low mileage. If might also be in the lower road fund bracket.

Make sure it's the ALFA V6, not the stupid GM one.

If you do go for it, let us know how you get along. I've also been very tempted by a GT V6.

Only drawbacks I ever found were, huge turning circle and a heavy thirst relative to power output.
Other than that, surprisingly practical given it's compact coupe dimensions (seats four easily, five if necessary and a good boot). Wonderfull engine and acceptable performance.

I'd buy it just for the fine details such as the shiny-ass pipes on the engine and the speedo starting at 6 o'clock.

Jesus, that MPG is even worse than my Jaaaag.

Keep looking at these myself as a heart over head purchase. For the money, I think they are potentially the best Alfa to buy right now. GTV is gorgeous but not necessarily as practical and the Brera is just too flawed. i love all things Italian and these cars just keep pulling me back in. The fact that the best engine in the GT range is probably the Busso says it all. With the low purchase price offsetting the fuel costs I think you have to just buy it. Even if you don't like it, you'll flip it for minimal loss, but I doubt you'll not like it lol.

The last Alfa to use the great V6 Busso engine. You won't be dissappointed, i suspect.

I'd recommend paying an indie to check it over if possible.

And have a slush fund as these do seen to have an appetite for suspension bushes.
