Funny idea in concept! In reality, a 360 is probably about a foot wider than an MR2, longer etc I can't see how you could make it look anything like an MR2?!

Forgetting the fact that this is almost certainly BS and this chap probably doesn't actually own a 360, this wouldn't make a very good sleeper anyway. A bog standard MR2 turbo is a fast car in the first place and like all Japanese turbo cars, plenty are running big power too (perhaps through the use of lightened bodywork?).

If this thing blew me away at the lights I wouldn't be all that surprised...much better to make it look like a transit van or something.

Wouldn't it be easier to fit a 360 engine into an MR2?

Another contender for dumbest thread ever! On a side note, my friend used to have an MR2 turbo running about 400bhp that would probably give most 360's a run for their money, if not beat them anyway, so your concept is a bit flawed in that the ultimate sleeper would be an MR2-MR2, rather than a Ferrari-MR2, if you see what I mean. loser

Not exactly the same, but I saw a Citroen 2cv van that had a Ferrari 355 underneath in Como a few years back.

OP, if you genuinely want to do this I have a friend with at least one (possibly two) scrap MR2s with complete & intact shells and most (if not all) of the interior wink
If this is a genuine offer of help could you kindly PM me details so I can look into it? Despite some people joking about it, and some people seemingly don't believe I even have the car to start with (despite me posting my scrape photo I might add) I think enough people agree it's a good idea!

What's even more daft than the OP is the number of people who are taking all this seriously.

Still, stranger things have happened.

Look here for an example of someone who took a desirable classic and rebodied it as an old Fiat...

It's madness, I tell you....

I think you're reading what you want to read, rather than reading what has actually been posted.

It is a truly terrible idea and you will make a fool of yourself and your car (and your wallet) if you try to pursue it. You won't be able to get a 360 to look ANYTHING like a Toyota MR2, principally because the Toyota is so much smaller.

What's more, it won't be a sleeper at all. It will be a butchered, st looking Ferrari.

But hey, it's your car and your (terrible) choice to modify it.

I know it's wrong but I think this looks great (with the exception of the air scoops). Never seen a picture of a 2CV body with decent paintwork, lowered suspension and big wheels. Citroen have missed a trick!

Surely if you're using a 360 you'd want to be making a Peugeot 406 Coupe replica.

Thought the MR2's were used for 355 reps?

Thanks for the PM Ben, I'll drop your mate a note.

I wouldn't use a Peuget 406 as they're too big, plus Toyotas are generally more reliable
