Hi guys, I've heard of people converting MR2s into 360s, but does anyone know of someone that's done it the other way around? I'm thinking of converting the 360 into an ultimate sleeper car, and wonder if anyone has any experience.

any idea how much it would cost, and any bodyshop recommendations for me to speak to? Panels will surely be cheap - realistically I might as well use second hand panels considering it'd probably need a respray afterwards?

A few concerns jump to mind: the Toyotas are narrower, so I guess I'd have to swap to thinner wheels to fit inside the new arches? Also, I really like the 360's interior but worry if I kept it as-is would it give the game away too easily! As expected though, from a quick check on eBay, MR2 seats are cheap.

If you go ahead with the conversion, put a cheap 360 kit on it. Double bluff sleeper

No one would destroy a genuine Ferrari 360 to create an MR2 lookalike. While I find the idea fun, I'd put money on it never having happened.

A Dino would fit, just have to add a turbo once it's all together.

Not an MR2 with a 360 kit, aim would be to make it look like a stock MR2. I don't see it as destroying the car though - it's just the body and maybe part of the interior

Hmmm an interesting concept! I think you should go for a yellow coloured body kit. The MR2s really stand out in that colour.

Will you keep the 360 bodywork or sell it on?

Ps wonder if your insurance premium declines...!?

Whilst it's an undoubtedly amusing idea, the actual result would be preposterous.

You should only do it using a badly damaged Ferrari to start from.

That way, you shall have less on your conscience.

Does the 360 you're looking to modify look very similar to this??

I think I'm missing some of the references here!

I wouldn't want to use a damaged one for fear of whether the end result would be safe to use. Mine's got some stonechipping at the front but it's otherwise in good condition, and at least I know all the mechanicals are solid underneath what'd be a lightly changed exterior

Not sure if serious...

I can see it being done to a badly crash damaged 360 I suppose if one's sense of humour is twisted enough...

But to mangle a perfectly good car and turn it into something worse? Madness.

But hey, it's your money, your car and it's not hurting anyone. Post back when complete. I'd be intrigued if nothing else to see what it looks like.

I had a quick go at mocking up the first design, I think it's looking pretty good? This ones also got a vauxhall corsa 1.2 engine with over 900 hp thanks to a drilled airbox and taking the rear seats out.

I genuinely don't get some of these references! I don't have kids.

I'm surprised some people are negative about it. Makes no sense to use a damaged one.

(and no it's not an Xbox! it's silver for a start!)
