Hi all,
I wonder if anyone has any experience of this problem. I did find one thread on-line which mentioned this exact issue, but it seemed to stop without a resolution.

The picture of the screen explains the issue really.
The disc does eject without any issues. The screen will just stay like this and nothing else happens. I've tried 148, but to no avail.

Installed in the system is disc 3 of this 3 disc set. It is packaged and looks like an OPC original item, but I'm not sure.

I'd really appreciate any tips or guidance on what I need to do to fix/repair or upgrade it.

You'll probably do better on the Porsche forum but have you tried disconnecting the battery (subject to any model specific warnings in the handbook and having the vehicle and radio security codes) to reset and also the often overlooked problem of it being no more than a dirty or damaged disc?

A satnav on my one my cars suddenly kept returning to the main screen whenever you tried to enter a destination and that proved to me no more than a tiny mark on the disc that polished out. I never worked out why the problem suddenly started as I had never previously removed the disc.

Mine does this or comes up with"Navigation system failed to initialize" or "CD is upside" when it isn't. I just put it down to a dodgy disc.

Thanks for your response. Did replacing the disc work for you?

Get into the Porsche forum very quickly before 700 high school socialists tell you that you are a bad person for driving an expensive car and that you should pay more than 50% income tax.

On the odd occasion it has worked I thought it was rubbish so just didn't bother to get a new disc.

Let those champagne quaffing members air their views! I did post in the Porsche part as well but got a very muted response.

Have you tried a (1-4-8) soft reboot of the PCM?

Sometimes see that on my car or with blue progress bar and a reboot seems to clear it

Yep. Tried the trusty 148 but to no avail.
