These appeal (like any fast estate appeals to me). I can see the 'rightness'.

I wondered why there were no pictures of the dash here. Then I saw some pictures elsewhere on ones for sale... omagawd, what a mess. What were they thinking? Still I guess you don't look at the fireplace when you're poking the fire...

Over first 3700+ miles averaged 20.4 mpg. Does better c 27 mpg on longer runs (1000 mile roundtrip north of the border) but you see the instant reading plummet while pulling away even when being cautious. Most of our runs are short and we live at the top of a hill which might explain some of it. Yes it's blue.

Hows the MPG?

More importantly, is it blue?

Full confession, I work at the Doves & Grange garage in South Croydon (Volvo & Jaguar).

This is definitely one of my favourite cars to drive, that includes both Jaguar & Volvo and the variety of other cars we get through our doors. I never miss an opportunity to take one of ours for a spin and I can totally relate to JD's comments.

If you are interested in one of these (or any Volvos or Jaguars for that matter) and have any questions I'll be happy to try and dig up the information you need.

I'd definitely suggest test driving one of these if you are in the market for a performance estate. You'll also love all of the toys it comes with.

I don't want to break PHs advertising rules, so I'll try and get ours up on here next week. But essentially we have exactly the same as in the article car and as mentioned being available pre-reg.

I'm considering this or a C63 AMG estate (2012)& wonder whether anyone has any practical experience or insight into both. The V60P appeals because it's stealthy (even in Rebel Blue), not ostentatious (verging on the unexpected), very limited, has all the right performance attributes & has 4 wheel drive (useful for the Scottish winter climate!), but like others I'm concerned by the residuals & how desirable this will be in a few years time. Reliability & longevity should hopefully not be an issue - it's a Volvo after all!

The C63's attributes & enjoyment factors are already well documented. With the new model just hitting the streets, I'm not sure what the impact will be on values of the outgoing model. I suspect there's not a huge difference in fuel consumption between the two.

Thoughts & experiences welcome.
