I own one.
ETA: the twin exhausts are hidden as standard on mine (elite model)
I used to have one too in automatic flavour. Unless you noticed the 3,2 badge on the back, which you didn't they are the same colour as the chrome strip then you'd never know what it was ETA: the twin exhausts are hidden as standard on mine (elite model)

Tesla P85 looks pretty 'Q'
This has got to be the answer. Very innocuous looking thing, could be a Japanese luxury car or something. Totally quiet (no v8 / v10 to give it away) with 691bhp and 0-60 in 3.2 secondsSurely nothing is more Q than that!

And it took them 6 years to get as far as this thread has in 3 days, slackers! E28 M5 is the greatest IMO,
but Mazda 3 MPS has to be in with a shout.
The '124 E500 is so much the 'coolest' and my favourite.
A bit left field, for me is the SD1 3500 VDPi - similar pace to the Vitesse, but so much more 'sober'. The Granada MK2 2.8i Ghia X had a similar appeal to me.
ETA: 450 sel 6.9, one of my lottery cars.

Whilst not the best example of a Q car, I certainly don't think it's the worst:
4.0 V8 with a manual gearbox and LSD. Still producing it's quoted 283bhp and apparently can do 0-60 in 6.3 seconds but I rarely get involved with traffic light Grand Prixs as it really comes into it's own once on the move.
Would look even more Q with a dent in the door and some rust so make it look a little more 'council'4.0 V8 with a manual gearbox and LSD. Some great suggestions so far. I like the fastest 'normal' versions of the German Saloons myself, the BMW E60 550i (debadged), the Mercedes E500 5.5l and my car, the Audi A6 4.2 FSI SE:
Looks like a diesel, packs a 350hp V8 .
I'm with you on this one, although my 550i is a touring and has it's badge on.Looks like a diesel, packs a 350hp V8 .

Having said that the Business Line AMG would kick its ass if it had ever been available in the UK market
All the better if it was AWD too...............

Rover 620ti...
2 litre turbo (Rover T-series engine, not Honda as some think!)
197bhp
0-60mph in 7.2s
Top speed 143mph
All in an innocuous 4 door saloon with a Rover badge, that looked like it was your grandad's car.
Now that's a Q-car!
I had one of those, and it was seriously quick in its time. Black with black leather mine was.2 litre turbo (Rover T-series engine, not Honda as some think!)

Also had a 220 GSi Turbo.
In a similar vein to the Rover, the Renault 21 Turbo was fairly innocuous looking, available in 2 or 4wd. Was quite tweakable too. Later on, La Regie made the even blander looking Safrane Biturbo that probably qualifies.
Rover 420 GSi Turbo ... 6.4 to 60, looked like a 'normal' boring Rover but with a 200ps engine from the 220 coupe turbo and 620 turbo.
It looked nothing but would keep up in a straight line - when mapped - with stuff that was loads more expensive and, in theory, faster.
I did go through 2 gearboxes on my mapped 1993 one though ... oops !
