E500 with the 4.7 twin turbo V8 402bhp 440ft/lb Torque, it looks identical to a 250cdi amg and when you just give it a remap 498bhp 531ft/lb Torque proper stealth & it's nigh on silent with the standard exhaust system

Actual figures on these always beat the conservative Volvo official figures.

I saw a Tesla Model S the other day in a very surprising location (random woodland walk carpark) and was amazed by how bland and normal it look. Smart but only in a slightly fancy Mondeo sort of way yet it's a really fast and very expensive car:

Definitely 'Q' car for me.
They are used as Taxi's in Amsterdam. I thought they were new Mondeo's until my mate went in one and said "Don't know what it was but it had a giant Ipad for a dash" hehe

I argued with another mate then who claimed they were Infiniti's smile

Turns out Amsterdam Airport use 167 of them:

Rover 620ti...

2 litre turbo (Rover T-series engine, not Honda as some think!)
197bhp
0-60mph in 7.2s
Top speed 143mph

All in an innocuous 4 door saloon with a Rover badge, that looked like it was your grandad's car.

Now that's a Q-car!

Great example, but Rover actually went one better. They stuck the same 197 bhp engine in something smaller, lighter and even more boring to look at. I give you the 420 GSi Turbo. 0-60 in 6.4 secs allegedly! yikes

I'd want mine in beige please! biggrin

Already listed but as someone who had one of the very first M5's that hit the UK I now have this as my daily run about. You can have it re-mapped to achieve just short of 1000Nm of torque a little over tick-over. Active air suspension, double glazed, air cooled massaging seats and one of the best sound systems in a car plus Bentley chassis and running gear. On a long run 35 MPG it really goes like stink, I like this car so much I'll buy another, oh and the best bit £10K to buy and cheap road tax. Best kept secret Q car as its so discreet.

Just put Michelin Pilot Super Sports tyres all round on the car and it has transformed the handling, not an A road hooner but it does make good progress.

Hmmm - you missed the 220 GSi turbo smile
I had one of those briefly, plus 2 different 620Ti's.

The 220 was very very quick, the Ti's 'surprising' to say the least.

I hated my Ti. Much preferred the 800 Vitesse Sport.

Well he's not wrong, 2.6 tons that weighs! He'll be needing all that torque just to get it off the start line.

You can get it in SE form without the bodykit & in saloon form as well so I think it is a Q car apart from a 63 when was the last time you saw a Petrol W212 E class?

Ten years ago, you could buy one of these, ditch the rear spoiler and no-one would know you had a 5.4-litre V8 and around 295bhp under the bonnet...

ONLY 295bhp from 5.4 litres!??? What were they doing with the rest of the engine? using it to boil water to make tea?
Because @4750rpm wink

The final incarnation was around 420bhp in 2011 (?) but it was put in one of these...

...so whilst it still looks like a Mondeo with stickers and a rear wing, its lost a bit of its Q-car feeling. Still has a blue oval on the front though so would appear to be fair game for the Lane 3 TDI brigade.

There is sense of humour and then having some chavtastic badges on the back of the car. I'd perhaps have appreciated it when I was a 12 year old..

Doesn't anyone play scrabble? it is simply a re-arrangement of the existing Phaeton letters the other numbers were on the car, still each to his own eh

Mazda 3 & 6 MPS versions are worth a mention.

At the lower end of the Q car list, I always found our 'snotter' Civic to be a giggle.A four door, boring looking, Rover-esque Granny-mobile with a 170 bhp 1.8 V-tec.Also, the Accord 2.2 type R with the rear spoiler removed could upset a few people.

I also think that Mercedes A Class A45 AMG looks reasonably unassuming.
