As an owner of a 2011 XFR I can see me changing to a V6 S in 3 to 4 years time, I definitely like the exterior evolution but unsure about the interior. Need more pics of an ivory/cream interior to judge how the new design compares to the current cabin. It's a shame you can't upgrade the infotainment in the old car with the new kit as the laggy screen/controls is the only bugbear I have about my car!
It is a shame as the new system is a lightyear ahead of the old one. There's a shortish demo video here: http://www.jaguar.co.uk/jaguar-range/2016-xf/galle... and I'd go as far as saying it comes close to blowing the BMW and Merc systems out of the water. There are aspects of the Tesla iPad thing about it, but without the feeling that someone's installed a multimedia PC in the dash!

You know what, I think I prefer the way the old one looked...

Looks good from the front and rear but the side window glazing, particularly the rear side window treatment looks dated compared to the XJ, reminds me of an old Volvo S80 - only in this detail.

I am sorry to say that this looks already awfully dated.

Honda Accord 1995

Volvo S80 T6 2000

Jaguar (new) XF 2015

The original XF was bolder and fresher than this. Why paddle back?

In my mind a modern day "JaaG" should be a 4-door Spyker-Pagani. At the moment KIA looks
like the only hope to beat "zee Germans" on their home turf. Well, those are designed
and engineered near Frankfurt...

3 box mainsream saloon in 'looks like 3 box mainstream saloon' shocker!!

When you mention KIA, I assume you mean the lovely Optima:

A design classic for sure......

Well biased as I may be being a JLR employee (and having an XF currently) we have just had an unveiling in reception and managed to get close to the car in the flesh. I'm by no means a fan of white and think a darker metallic would look better but it looks fantastic in person. Interior is also very nice from what I could see through the window.

Without specs tinted in the midlands it looks a little different, but I get your
point, that it is as spec sensitive as the new Xf

Next gen.:

Each to their own, but personally, there's no way I'd take an Optima over a Jag. Or a BMW, Merc, Audi or even Passat (the worlds most souless car). They're getting much more credible, but there's no way they compete on any level, and having tried the latest c'eed....whilst it's a vast improvement over the old one, it just does not compare in any way to a Clio, Citroen Cactus (yes....really!), Leon, Golf etc etc.

Perhaps in America, where they seem to like Korean cars, it will do well, but even Jalopnik seem massively unimpressed with the new car:

Me too. I'm waiting to hear more about getting an XE. These new Jags do look good!
