I seriously worry about anyone suggesting that the Insignia is at fault. There is less than one second between the Zafira moving into L1 and that tosspot of a GTR appearing up his arse.
I agree. I absolutely hate lane hoggers, but the Insignia driver certainly isn't one in this case. Let's face it, he barely got he chance to do anything.

I'm sure the knuckle dragger driving LM09VXC is very happy with themselves.
+1 The Insignia was in L3 because of the black Zafira in L2. The Cunt in the GTR gave him no time to move over before acting like a complete bell-end.

You shouldn't be on the road if that isn't a troll post.

Anyone remotely blaming the Insignia needs to look at how they go about their motorway driving.

If he pulled in before the GTR appeared, he'd have been well within 2 seconds of the camera car and placed himself into the blind spot of the Zafira which is indicating right ffs and has within a second completed it's own maneuver.

If you mongs are moving back into the left lanes this quickly after overtaking, then you are the tts, not the Insignia.

Back to the GTR tt, I think the tail gating is worse than the brake test, looks like he gets within a foot or 2. Hopefully he does it to a crash for cash scum bag one day.

Hmm, he's not exactly in a hurry to get out of lane 3 is he (or she)? He should have been indicating to pull back in as soon as the Zafira pulled over, and had they bothered to glance in their rear view mirror they would have seen the utter tit in the GTR approaching rapidly.

There's no excuse for the aggressive driving at all, it's proper knuckle dragging stuff, but the Insignia driver is clearly not paying attention.
Perhaps the Insignia driver noticed the Zafira indicating right once he got to lane 1?
Quite rightly, the Insignia driver is in no hurry to move to lane 2 until it's safe to do so.

AND...

If I were about make a manoevre, I would look in my mirror first. Upon doing so, I would see an absolute in a GTR trying to get into my boot, take a second or so to wonder what the blithering fk he was trying to do, and before I've had a chance to think about getting out of his way, he's undertaken me.

There is absolutely no way the Insignia driver has done ANYTHING wrong here apart from choosing to drive an Insignia.

Totally agree. The Nissan driver is a weapons grade bell end.

Totally stupid and impatient driving by both the Nissan and Audi driver.

I always ask myself in these type of scenarios whether the Nissan and Audi driver would have recklessly tailgated and undertaken the white Vauxhall in such an aggressive manner had it been a marked police traffic car in the outside lane? Be honest, would you have tried to ram a marked traffic car out of the way before illegally undertaking it?

Points and fine and possible ban for both the Nissan and Audi drivers may well be in the post!

The 0805 dash cam proved itself very well under the circumstances, even I could read the reg numbers of the white Vauxhall Insignia as MA60 NTK, the Nissan GTR as LM09 VXC and the Audi GV07.

I haven't driven a car anywhere for six months next week, can't say I miss it after watching that.

I never said I wanted to do that, or that I would ever do that, or even wished I could. I merely stated that I understood the frustration some people get with these endless idiot lane hoggers.

On a bad day I can encounter dozens of them on fairly short stretches of road. My white Mondeo looming up on them seems to make them move without any aggression required, perhaps they think it's a police car. It doesn't really fuss me but I can well understand people's frustration.

Actually succumbing to that frustration and brake testing people is a nobbish thing to do though, and as I said, such people shouldn't be on the road.

Interesting how few people noticed that, though to be fair it's not very clear on the video. I wouldn't have moved over left there until I was sure the Zafira wasn't going to come back out. GTR driver was being a tt, and a dangerous tt at that.

Suggesting that the Insignia is in the wrong, or defending the GT-R drivers actions is frankly ridiculous.

In the first picture, you can see that the Zafira is still indicating right, and still hovering over the lane-dividing lines, with the time at 2 seconds.

Next, the GT-R has begun to swerve into lane 2, with the time just turned 6 seconds.

This means the GT-R driver left the Insignia driver about 3.5 seconds to move back into lane 2. Then decides to brake test him.

The driving standards of many on here are certainly questionable after having a read of this thread...

That would be nice. But even if the local plod were alerted to it, the camera can't catch who's driving the cars, leaving it open to the usual "wasn't me, was my mate who's number I don't have" etc. Pity. frown

Looks like the Insignia needs to learn which lane he should be in.
What? The Insignia is doing 80mph or more, correctly overtakes the camera car at 0:40, and is about to overtake the Zafira in lane 2, which completes its move into lane 1 only at 0:44, by which time the GTR is already inches from his rear bumper.

At no point was it appropriate for the Insignia to leave lane 3.

Meanwhile the GTR is driving far in excess of legal, socially acceptable speeds, and then proceeds to intimidate the Insignia, which is in the best place given that the Zafira is weaving about in lane 1 and looks like it wants to come back to lane 2.

What happened after this OP? Did the Insignia ever find his left indicator or even move over?

So the Insignia is passing the Zafira, which moves into lane 1. As it completes the manoeuvre into lane 1 the Zafira puts its right indicator on. Insignia quite reasonably stays in lane 3 given the car in lane 1 is signalling to move out.

GTR driver is an utter impatient tt. He probably hasn't even noticed the Zafira indicating to move out (he's got that in common with many of the people who've commented, it seems).

Audi driver is also a tt, undertaking while the GTR is busy brake-testing the Insignia.

On what's actually shown in the video the Insignia has done absolutely nothing wrong. Of course he could have been hogging the outside lane for ten miles, we'll never know.
Saved me typing it out - I agree with this 100%

I don't condone the moronic behaviour there, but what the **** was that stupid imbecile doing in lane 3?

What exactly is the matter with these people?

Either they're dozing off, in which case they shouldn't be driving, or else they don't understand the basic rules of the road, in which case they shouldn't be on the road.

Isn't this just what happens when moron meets moron? Crap, incompetent piece of driving prompts crap, aggressive piece of driving?

I come across drivers like the one in this Insignia on an almost daily basis. Safely undertake, and get on with your day.

The OP was in the best place here. Two lanes out of it, and at a safe distance. Let the muppets have an accident.
