One single thing that makes you think "knob" Vol 3

You take your life in your hands walking through our Sainsbury car park, even worse if you have children and a full trolley of goods to contend with, so I can understand why they like to give them spaces to minimise the walking distance into the store.
Some people, though, do not help themselves. This soft pair were just standing here, having a chat:I had just emerged from the parking lane behind them, driving around them. My polite 'toot' clearly having been ignored!

The 66 plate McLaren, 570GT I think, that parked with a single occupant in the mother and child space at a local supermarket today. Nicely speced, flat grey, gloss black accents and wheels, orange seat belts. Lovely I thought, until I saw where he parked.
Don't blame him to be honest.Tyre Tread said:

Me neither, parent and child spaces get on my t1ts. Why just because you choose not to keep it in your pants or your legs closed should you get a preferential parking space? Disabled spaces are different as being disabled is not a choice, but contributing to the over population of the planet is!- to give the parent more space to get car seats and prams in and out thus saving the paintwork of the car in the next space
- to reduce the need for walking toddlers and small children through car parks where people drive like dicks, thus saving the likelihood of flattening one and ruining a number of peoples' lives including your own
To be honest i park as far as humanly possible away, to keep away from the "must park next to the entrance at all costs" wkers. You can't complain about children not walking 100 yards if the main reason you are pissed off is because you don't want to.
Im sure its been mentioned hundreds of times but those guys who drive with one arm, hand right on top of the wheel at 12 o clock almost always indicative of a proper knob. Other hand often smoking something or stroking their chin, full sleeve tattoo and powerfully built in a way that says "Yeah I go to the gym but also go to too many McDonalds Drive-Thrus", cars of choice, anything new German, E46 3 Series, Focus ST, Vauxhall Vectra.

Surely it means, under normal conditions the roadworks have finished and it's back to NSL, but due to congestion or whatever the variable limit is currently 50. Doesn't seem hard to understand to me. I went through one of those myself tonight.
It's still stupid and could be confusing. The post was more about the random drops in speed which are obviously there for nothing more than revenue generation.
Tourists. Tourists who stand on zebra crossings taking selfies. Tourists standing at the end of zebra crossings with no intention of crossing, just staring blankly into space and not noticing the growing queue of cars at either side. Tourists standing on the wrong side of the tube elevators. Tourists shouting at restaurant staff because their party of 20 are not being served fast enough. fk you tourists.

I hear you brother. I often drive past a college with dim-witted students just stood like zombies not crossing. It rather boils my piss when I've been sat for a good few seconds awaiting any kind of movement.I wouldn't be able to cope with driving across this every day!

see this thing of flashing your hazard lights everytime you change lane? I'm increasingly seeing it on my commute.
Well see the cocks that don't actually signal but just force their way into a gap that wasn't there and then flash the hazards. Does the flash mean 'thanks'? because you didn't actually ask and then were let in, you were going to cut-in in front of me regardless of my actions.
utter knobs.
the flash is thanks, yeah. it's quite common here in central london at least, as a lot of letting people into tiny gaps happens to keep things moving. I agree that the forcing yourself in without a clear indication of the person giving you room is being a dick, but well at least they said thanks, lol

Everyone who has ever had anything to do with motorways, maintenance & 'improvements' and SMART motorways.
How does this photo make any sense? Along with the random NSL > 50 > 60 > NSL speed changes or 60> 60 > 50 > 60 > 40 > 60?!?!?
It's all done by computer algorithms operating via neural networks.How does this photo make any sense? Along with the random NSL > 50 > 60 > NSL speed changes or 60> 60 > 50 > 60 > 40 > 60?!?!?
The two main key targets of the algorithms are to:
a) stealthily reduce the motorway speed limits to 50mph to appease the tree hugging dumb**** environmentalists and blinkered IQ challenged road safety groups who have no grasp of the fact that in order for the UK to function as a leading economy people need to move about to do business.
b) to ensure the speed limits are randomly altered from one gantry to the next to generate enough fines to pay for the multi year long installation of said 'smart' motorway (an oxymoron if ever there was one) over the next 10 years.

Personally, I stopped using P&C as soon as my kids could safely walk across the car park, as I no longer felt I needed one.
However, I did use them when they couldn't walk and I needed to leave them safely in the car, whilst obtaining a trolley from the rack and returning to put them inside. (THAT'S why they are near the trolley park).
What truly makes me think Knob are the parents with older or even teenage kids who continue to use them, through laziness. By age 10 even the smaller children should be out of a booster seat FFS.

^^ I have no issues if those are TRUE views and NOT some lame excuse whose sole purpose if to justify using those same P&C spaces for your own benefit.

Not guilty... I park as far away as possible from the entrance to minimise the chance of someone parking next to me and denting my car. Yeh, I do the same but isn't it funny when you come out and there is always someone next to you even though all around is empty. It's like my car is a magnet!problemchild1976 said:
exactly - keep the kids who swing the doors open well away from other cars

i agreeteach a kid not to eat with mouth open, trip over their feet, ride a bike, listen, have manners..... but they all try and talk with a mouth full of pizza, fall over and graze their knees, fall off their bikes, drift off into dream world, forget to say please.
doesn't reflect on bad parenting - just kids are kids always
I make my 7yr old stay sat in his seat in a car park until I open his door but he's v v independent and wants to grow and discover himself.
wind or a slope or lack of attention
so much better to just have a bit of extra space......especially if you have to put a carry system back into its isofix base! on no sleep and a screaming baby who just wants to get home and has deafened everyone in sainsburys, getting back to the car to find you can't even get the door open enough would just drive you to smash the door into the other car until there was enough space (kidding but not far off)

Had a strange one today. Newish beige 5 Series Estate pulls in front of me forcing me to come to a complete stop to avoid a collision, I didn't beep or anything. 5 Series then turns around, follows me until I go into a car park, waits while I reverse into the space, then driver sits looking at me for 5 seconds or so and turns around and leaves the car park again.
I don't know if he was road raging, but this seems odd, he followed me at a safe distance, and wasn't doing anything untoward, plus the cut up, he was in the wrong and I didn't react to him.
Maybe he was lost, followed me to the car park, decided he didn't want that car park and buggered off again, but that doesn't explain the looking at me.
Any ideas? It has me stumped.
