Funny, I always thought that the cross was the universal symbol of Christianity?

You do know there are over fifty thousand different denominations of the Christian faith in the world? All have a symbol. Some symbols vary. Whilst you are accurate to suggest the crucifix is universal (well planetal at least wink ) there are branches who reject this and have their own.

The... the... arse who couldn't be bothered to secure his sodding load and dropped a table leg, complete with nails, in the carriageway, hidden from view by a Navara. Clipped the damned thing and looks like it damaged the side wall of a week old tyre on the Alfa (hoped it had just broken the seal but no on closer inspection there's a flap of rubber apparent).

Tbf there's more than one.

Ford drivers, vauxhall drivers, BMW drivers, berks in mercs, audiots, cyclists, pedestrians, bus drivers, taxi drivers, Chevrolet drivers, Volkswagen drivers, car drivers in general.

The two blokes in Farnborough on Saturday, mid-afternoon, who were having a bit of a disagreement spilling over into the road in front of me. One of them with a half-drunk bottle of vodka, the other yelling "C'mon, then, put your bottle down, let's go, let's go". Accompanied by a "Rickaayyyy, leave it" from the mouthy one's missus (presumably) that could have come straight out of Walford.

Some friends were looking at a house in that particular area, can't say I can recommend it after that (or before that, to be honest, but still...)

People wanting to protect themselves from all the throbbers that litter our roads makes them a knob? OK...

Standard reply tbh.

Just drive/ride correctly and you'll be fine. No need for cameras. Unfortunately in today's tell-tale Britain it's inevitable I guess.

In an ideal world, sure. Real life isn't like that though.

And the dunce of the year award goes too.....by that logic, as long as we drive well, we will never ever ever be involved in a crash. I mean, it's not as if other road users can influence your journey and whether it's a safe journey or a not so safe journey.....

They are also exceptionally useful for proving who's at fault in an accident and truth is, if more people had them, or they were made mandatory, we'd probably see a drop in premiums.

Obviously nowhere near your level of brains there fella, fair play. After all I was foolishly suggesting we all drive sensibly, what a moron hay, what must I have been thinking??!!

Of course you can avoid incidents with other drivers, most of us have been doing that for many years.

Better to influence your own life, than let others do it for you...try it.

Oh, can I have my award now please, lol. Relax, it's only an opinion on a website thread.

It's just a bit naive don't you think? Even the best drivers in the world will get fked over by some POS pulling a scam or some drunk driver doing something mental. Sometimes being completely aware of your surroundings and anticipating all possible events is simply not good enough.

Some people just can't dive for st. You may as well have proof of that if they decide they don't want to accept responsibility.

In this day and age, very naive - I more or less admitted that.

But you do get those who think it elevates them to some God-like levels of policing. My misses had a bad experience from someone who pulled over next to her and alleged bad driving that he'd captured on video and was going to report. She lost sleep over it, he is a knob...one I wouldn't mind meeting.

Like everything, there are 2 sides to every argument... even a dunce like me knows that.

Ah right. Gotcha. Yeah, it would be nice if everyone drove reasonably ha. Sure, some people take dashcams a bit far and are tossers about it but I think most do it for the security aspect.

Fair play, security reasons make sense. Touchy subject in our house for a while that's all.

Anyway back to the V8 Supercars, dashcams in their cars don't seem to make them stick to the rules, lol!!
