I do this. Where else is it meant to go? My non existent ashtray? The car manufacturers stopped fitting them and this is the consequence.
Ashes aren't so bad. It's filter ends that cause fires.

Last year I stopped to put out someone's garden gate where a cigarette had been thrown out from a passing vehicle, set fire to the dry grass and took the gate with it.

Buy a car with an ashtray, pretty sure it's only a £15 option on most new cars. Or do what someone I know does and use an old Coke can in their cup holder.

Leaflet droppers who get through the main security doors of my flats somehow. Ignore the no junk mail sign and put leaflets through my door.

I cam home from work this morning to find a pile of leaflets on the floor. Not delivered by the postie as she hadn't been yet. I had another drop whilst I was in the shower and then I heard another leaflet come through so I took his leaflet and gave it back to him and told him to get out. He started getting all loud and shouty telling me I had no permission to tell him to leave and I don't want to make him sad or whatever he was saying. He refused to leave and tole me I had no right, I wasn't allowed to tell him to leave.

WHO THE Fmadmadmad ARE YOU TO TELL ME I CANT ASK YOU TO LEAVE PRIVATE PROPERTY. I own this place, I'm allowed to be here and you're just some trespassing idiot who's being a mug.

I actually hate them. Apart from getting my letterbox sealed shut I don't know if there's anything I can do...

Sounds like you slunk off indoors without telling him that bit.

2 in the local Tesco car park today.

Both did exactly the same thing.

Teaching my wife to drive, and today took her to practice parking in bays.

The local Tesco car park is 90% empty, so we go there, and go as far away from the store as possible, so no cars around for her to worry about.

Not 5 minutes later, a car parks in the very next bay that she is practicing in, so we move 10 bays down, 10 minutes later exactly the same thing happens.

Both drivers could see her L plates, and would have seen me stood beside the car, giving her direction through the open window.

Why, just why?
Presumably the same reason the only other person in an otherwise empty cinema comes and sits right behind you. Every single time.

Well obviously because I would never speak to someone like that. I can say that in my head or after the fact!

I had a go at him, gave his back his leaflet and told him to leave which he did. But not after telling me I wasn't allowed to tell him to leave and then moaning about me making him sad.

I just don't get it. Since posting that post I've had another leaflet through the door. I think I'm just going to call the companies direct and complain.

The neighbour has signs too and came out to ask what was going on. She was mad too.

Only a gherkin? When your mum's behind me, I turn around and throw burning cigarette ash in her face. She seems to like it.

Knob.

I love having fag ash all over me. A chap's not properly dressed without a good layer of fag ash. I love how the dog ends burn holes in my Goretex jackets and trousers and hot sparks fly into my eyes. Odd how the people chucking them don't like them being chucked back in their lap though?

Zafira driver who didn't give way to parked cars on his side of the road as I was coming towards him. There wasn't enough space for the both of us mate. You should have given way. Don't hold your hands up at me like I'm in the wrong... The guy in the Audi behind was no better.

Moped guy who didn't want to give way to me approaching a 1 lane tunnel we were both heading towards. I was one car length away from it's entrance and you'd just turned into the road from further up in the opposite direction. I am glad you scraped the side of it as you tried to squeeze through. I wished you hadn't recovered your fall and decked it. Knob.

This is now reaching epidemic proportions. I work in a shop on a busy high street with parked delivery vehicles and the occasionial knob on double yellows.

No-one gives way these days. They all take a chance and charge through, with a screeching of brakes and expletive deleted language.

It's all me, me ,me. Sdab.

To be fair, his car was probably on fire and had other things to worry about.
