So the lights only dazzle you when stationary and not when braking for corners? Because im pretty sure theres a whole thread on here about brake lights being too bright.
Having never personally been dazzled by any car in front I dont understand any of this as it seems a non issue.

My conclusion to this is that most of the problem seems to be caused by either the blinded having st eyesight, dirty glasses, windows in their cars, or a mix of all 3. Corners wouldn't cause an issue imo as braking under normal circs is usually just momentary for bends etc.
This was demonstrated by my MiL last winter when she followed me home & said my brake lights were dazzling her. When I moved her car later that evening the windows in her car hadn't seen any cleaning in ages & the glare of our outside lights at the house annoyed me & they're 60watt bulbs iirc!!
I'm not sure why 2CV is getting so wound up frankly, but reading his comments passes the time!!
Utter knob in a white VW CC thing coming into Bridgwater from Westonzoyland on the A372. I slow to the 30 limit (he'd been a perfectly safe distance behind me all through the NSL) which he clearly doesn't like and after nearly rear ending me decides to try and overtake, realises there's a car coming so slams on instead. I then slow to the 20 limit and he likes that even less, he must have been inches from me, I couldnt even see his wipers in my mirror. Luckily he turns off to the right but not before a long blast of the horn. For some reason this angered me so I did something I never do, I made the wker gesture out the window. Not something I'm proud of but there we go, doesn't make him any less of a knob though.

I drive an auto. I hold it on the brakes at the lights. Stop staring at my brake lights, you moaning old bags, and worry about your own car
If people don't like it tough st!!
A slightly different take on the "Brake Lights Saga" that seems to have taken over this thread right now.
The utter twunt in his Renault Trafic van yesterday morning who overtook me on a short (40mph limit) section of dual carriageway, and then drove all the way down it in front of me with his brake lights lit. Despite the fact that he was accelerating away from me.
How the fk does that work? Either he's resting his left foot on the brake sufficient to light those lights, or his van is broken. Either way, a grade 'A' throbber. He was even more of a throbber because of the manner of his driving when a knuckle-dragger in a Transit exceeded the speed limit by even more than he was, and dropped in in front of him. That was the cue for accelerating to near touching distance, flashing of main beams (no use dude - that bloke ahead of you will never see them, you're far too close) and leaning on the horn. I half expected then to stop and 'duke it out' at the roundabout ahead, but they restricted themselves to hand signals through open windows. Knobs, the pair of them...

Interesting point. Probably the same people who haven't changed their wipers in 3 years and think that topping up washer fluid can wait for the next service. My conclusion to this is that most of the problem seems to be caused by either the blinded having st eyesight, dirty glasses, windows in their cars, or a mix of all 3. People who try and block or impede you in some way when you want to push on.People who try and leave you standing at a junction, you know a car coming from the right but plenty of room to get 3/4 cars out but they wait until it's too late and only they can go.Petty and dangerous.
You may think there is plenty of room to go, but other drivers have more considerations other than charging out of a junction and taking a chance.Plus: Is that driver indicating left actually turning left? The HC advises not to move unless you are satisfied that the left indication is correct. This is a common crash for cash scam.

So I was annoyed. He is a & i was rude.
Just to redress things slightly, I drive an (ye olde) auto and I knock it into N and come off the brakes when stopped, hand brake if on a slope. Form an orderly queue behind please.
I do curse those I thought live with their foot resting on the brake in queues, but it seems manufacturers are dazzling the man behind automatically, how I love progress.
