The wker who drives his Monaro VXR down our road every morning at precisely 6:50am like he's competing in the Bathurst 1000. Your stupid wky exhaust wakes me and my family up every morning without fail. I'm sure we're not the only household you're waking up. It's a 30 limit you fktard. I AM going to report you to the BiB.
...or you and few friends and family can congregate on the road at 06:40 with some Bathurst banners, spectator wear (vests, shorts, flip flops and those silly hats with corks hanging from them). Cheer him along on one side of the road and throw empty Fosters cans from the other side for authenticity.

Video the whole thing and post it somewhere. Humiliation would be better than potentially wasting Police time. wink

That's a bus stop, on zig zags. Got to crawl past at walking pace if travelling the direction in the photo to check round the back of the bus that nobody is crossing (and they inevitably are when a bus is there, as they've just got off of it).

Travelling south on the North Circular last night away from Hangar Lane and towards Ealing and theres a car following far too closely (seems to be a real problem these days). As we head down hill I'm braking to remain at 30 through the speed camera but matey behind is having none of it and decides to move into the right lane and floor it. Flash, flash goes the camera.

I pull up next to him at the next set of lights and notice him shouting at me. Wind the window down to him asking if I have a problem with his driving I say no and he asked why I flashed him. He wouldn't believe me it was a speed camera so I think he'll have a nice surprise in a short while.

At the next set of lights hes up behind me again and follows on the bumper for the next few miles. Slowed down on 2 laned bits to encourage him to pass but he just sat right on my bumper.

Also the muppet on the scooter this morning who was overtaking stationary traffic on the wrong side of the road then stopping and shouting at the cars that were coming the opposite way. He was one of those with multiple GoPros and the 'POLITE' hi vis as well

Worth asking the local authority for the 'Road Safety Audit'...

The guy in the Fiesta that I overtook FOUR times in the space of 10 miles on the M4 earlier, the van I was driving is limited to 70 so I would catch up with matey in his Fiesta who was doing about 65 and overtake, matey in Fiesta obviously didn't like being passed by a van so would speed up to about 80, overtake me then slow down to about 65 and then we would repeat the process again.
His last overtake was about a mile before the junction I wanted to get off at, I was in the middle lane passing a lorry, he comes past me in the outside lane, cuts me up and then tucks in behind a lorry in the inside lane so I pass him again...
....Turns out he's turning off at the same junction and ends up behind me and then alongside me at the roundabout at the bottom of the sliproad, I get a dirty stare which me and my workmate find absolutely hysterical and then he bks off nearly cutting a car up on the roundabout. Brilliant.

People seemingly out to kill my fking bin men this morning.

They're essential to modern life, they're nice chaps, and they don't enjoy delaying people on the roads. They're very bloody efficient at doing their job too.

So please. For fk's sake, when the car ahead of you, and the car coming from the other direction both stop to let the BLOODY OBVIOUS BLOKE IN HEAD TO TOE HI-VIS, PULLING TWO BIG GREEN BINS cross the road, don't fking-well overtake us, on the wrong side of a 'Keep Left' island, and nearly kill the poor fecker just to save yourself about thirty seconds. If you'd just have looked a wee bit harder, the bin wagon was already moving and indicating into the road on the left, and would have been well out of the way in no time at all.

(Self-important prick in a Honda F-RV)

Worse though, was that he saved himself absolutely nothing. After his ill-judged overtake he drove away like his trousers were on fire. Yet I caught up to him at the next roundabout at the back of a small queue of cars, despite my not exceeding the speed limit in the half mile between overtake and roundabout... rolleyes

I was out with my 3 boys yesterday, walked from my house to a park up the road. I have a 1 year old in a pushchair and 2 boys under 4 on balance bikes. We get to a zebra crossing opposite the park, we stop and check and a Mondeo stops. I look the other way and a white Polo is coming towards us at speed, goes straight through the crossing while apparently texting on her phone without even noticing me or the other car stopped waiting for us to cross. Had I assumed cars would stop, we'd have been in the road and who knows whether she'd have noticed us.

Wish I'd have clocked the reg plate as something like that needs reporting to the police.
Hopefully the 6 point and £200 fine rule brought in today might make people think twice, although I doubt it will make much difference sadly.

The driver of a black 3 series saloon who i saw park his car up(i was coming towards him from opposite direction)climb from the car and walk fully into the lane he had just left holding his hand up and bring the oncoming three cars to a halt, the lead car is mk1 Focus with two 30ish women in it,as they stop he walks to drivers side and rags the door open halfway, as she is holding on and screaming at him, as he shouts at her,i can't hear what they are saying but i got the impression they new each other maybe, after about ten seconds of this he lets go and returns to his car and drives off.

Where to start.

The idiot in the Anglia Water van on the M1 Southbound last Monday. I was in lane 3 at 70 passing him, as my car drew level with him I noticed him moving within the lane and thought / hoped it was a little weave. No, he was coming into my lane without indicating or looking. Hard on the brakes and he was in front of me, at 70 (although he had a sticker on the back saying he was limited to 56).
After the incident and shortly after when I passed him, no acknowledgement of the near miss at all. Knob.

Drivers who are so keen to give cyclists enough space when they pass, they cross the centre line to overtake. This is admirable, EXCEPT when there are cars coming the other way. The car I was following must have got a bit of a shock, I managed to pip the horn. The cyclist shook his head - I'm assuming he knew what was happening.
There is another option. Wait!

The idiot(s, I've seen several) who approach a roundabout indicating right, but not going past straight on. One can only assume they're indicating right to "join" the roundabout in the same way that people indicate right on a m'way slip road to join the motorway.

Note from what I saw today. Still loads on people on their phones. Hopefully they will get bans and there will be less cars on the road! wink

Ooh, can I join in the game of "utterly idiotic road planning decisions" with one of my local ones?

What kind of blithering fkwit thought putting a pedestrian crossing on a mini roundabout was a good idea?

That is the main reason the only indication i give on a roundabout is when i leave, havingpositioned myself in the correct lane.

What i cant understand is the nutters who give the beans when i go form no indicator to left when getting level with their 'entrance' Like if i were indicating right they would gun in front of me>>> also if i were continuing around to take the next exit but on to their gettin on. The basic idea is give way to those already on the roundabout (WHETHER INDICATING OR NOT) my caps. The ones i see gunning up to it and then hitting the brakes as i indicate left, as if they would do any diffeent if i were indicating right. Besides it narrows down the stupidity quotient with those who are indicating right and then turning left and v/v Donning flame suit

I cycled 15 miles today on 'quiet' roads and saw three people using phones while driving. And that's only the ones I actually saw!

Something's not getting through to these Muppets.

But then I didn't see one Police car. Might be on to something there.

i think the police have better things to be doing tbh then spending their hours slapping wrists and dishing out FPNs

yes i know its an offence

as is speeding

as was discussed on the thread about the guy who admitted to being caught (fair play) using a phone shouldn't need a bloody special offence. its driving without due care! and i see many people doing that on a daily basis.

people need to learn to drive properly then they won't use phones

all i can see this doing is further increasing young drivers not having insurance and licenses as if they get 6points in first 2 yrs they lose their license

stop hogging lanes, straightlining roundabouts, pulling out on people, not letting people out, not merging in turn, using your sat nav as an ultra bright HUD, road raging and ALL the things in this thread that are crap (as well as not using your phone or smoking or vaping when driving)
