Had some mong in a S-class nearly ruin my year, at a roundabout in birm with a three lane entry: straight/left, straight and straight/right

I use the straight/right lane and don't indicate as im going straight

He uses the straight lane and doesn't indicate either

So it came to a huge surprise to me when he tries to turn right infront of me! after I only just avoid him he starts berating me! I was to tired to argue back so I just waved him on, bloody drivers in Birmingham are awful!
On the final stretch to my workplace there are two roundabouts. For some reason, numpties use the left hand lane for turning right (It's a dual carriageway) and I always use the right hand lane for going straight on, so I get cut off! One time I nearly wrote my car off because of one of these numpties, beeped my horn and she looked at me like WTFM8?

It must be a huge roundabout, if the straight ahead exit also has three (exit) lanes?

Does it not have white lane markings all of the way around, to stop people crossing over?
Otherwise how do the people further around the RAB, know that you are turning right and not going straight on?

If you think the UK is bad you should try Spain for roundabout lane discipline... standard practice is to use any lane for any exit and never indicate (not sure if Spanish cars are even fitted with indicators as I don't think I've ever seen anyone use them).

mhm.
Had exactly this on a two lane roundabout at the airport on saturday, numpty in a golf went right from left lane, probably less than a foot from the front of my car to the side of his.
Glad my car stops good biggrin

Walking down the main road through my village this morning, on the right hand side. Imagine my surprise as a silver Insignia mounts the pavement, nearly running into me from behind. I looked over towards the driver, to see her fixated at a pub on the opposite side of the road. Obviously, she had wanted to park near it and as soon as she saw the sign, thought she'd dump the car, but crossing a lane and driving up the kerb, nearly striking a pedestrian all whilst staring through your nearside window, seems like a stupid thing to do.

Haha, noticed this in Ibiza recently. Right hand lane all the way round the roundabout to go left, no indicators.

2 from the Edinburgh bypass recently.
Driver who managed to bin his corsa into the central reservation on a clear road, just swerved an d spun. 30 yards further and he would have ricocheted into me.
Then the shed dragger that flipped his shed onto its side, but it remained attached to the case,so the tow bar,and presumably the frame, was twisted, and back wheels were off the ground! Caused a huge jam

I found this quite amusing at the time but by the time I was home and had TLC stuck in my head for twenty minutes I was thinking knob.

I get this on my way home from work all the time. Either this, or queue-jumping tts who charge down the left-hand (left turn only) lane approaching the roundabout, then attempt to cut into the right lane whilst on the roundabout (they only have a few seconds to do so before the lanes split off).

Noticed a few lately...TT's, a Cayman or 2 & an A7. Driving around (and parked up) with the rear spoiler deployed. They're activated at a certain speed....about 80ish in a TT so to have it sticking out on the morning commute requires disabling it somehow or pressing a button to leave it up....why, oh why? It's not "sporty", it's not aesthetically pleasing....it's trying a bit hard.

Ps..."knob" is maybe a bit strong, in fairness but it grates on me all the same.

Would that not mean they were driving round the roundabout the wrong way and end up driving across the centre bit wink

You can only legally turn left off a roundabout if you drive round in a clockwise direction, like what we do over here.

No, I don't think knob is at all strong. That sort of behaviour is up there with driving with front foglights on in broad daylight because people think it somehow makes their car look "sporty/hard".

They probably just deployed the spoiler manually and then forget to switch it off. I quite often press the override switch to keep the spoiler up when driving out of town, especially if my speed is in the zone where it otherwise keeps popping up then retracting over and over again (cycling between 55 and 70 so typical non-urban driving).

Think about it...

Ibiza/Spain... drive on right hand side of the road... roundabouts are anticlockwise.

And being a PH'der, he should know WTF he's yakking about huh....but obviously not. We drove around Spain last year for 2 months and as above, just pick any lane, go around as far as you like then peel off. Was fun playing chicken when entering at say 6 o clock to exit at 9. Being brits we would go into the inside indicating left, then indicat right, move over and exit but Jose usually stayed in the outside and then decided to himself when he wanted to exit. Was fun with 1500 kg of caravan behind you!

Until I sprayed the mechanism on my C6 with some WD40, you'd be considering me a knob then. The spoiler deploys at 80, but was sticking and wouldn't retract.

All to complicated for me I'm afraid, think I should just stick to taxi's from now on.

What's a PH'der, something else confusing me today.
