It's an '81 car so shouldn't really be on those plates

As already said shouldn't be silver on black unless pre 73 I believe, also while there's a chance it may have come from NI I'd bet a quid it hasn't and that's an attempt at using a NI plate as a private plate. I stand by my opinion that's a crappy plate. The Saab in the OP also is a crappy plate as it's black and silver when it shouldn't be.
