I knew this would've brought up a race issue! Who cares whether there black blue red or green, it's just how idiotic youth are acting now days. My only concern as a london born Asian and also a bmw driver, I will have this scumbag image like a cloud over my head now, I use the term now Loosely! It's quite frankly disgusting that people are acting in this manner for more than likely a minor issue. I do feel it's motorists in general though, everyone so caught up in there lives and day to day commitments that they forget the rules of the road and drive like complete idiots. the amount of times I've been cut up by motorists and then bipped at and given wa*nker signs for giving them a little flash is shocking, even had a young girl park near me in a petrol station as I was filling up, she opens her door and whacks it in my passenger door, I then look at her thinking are you serious?? She completely ignores me no apologies or anything fills up her car presumably a fiver worth, and walks inside the kiosk to pay. I follow her in and ask are you paying for the dent repair in my car you just done, she turns around and says you should be so lucky frown what am I suppose to do?? I get abit heated up and have a go at her she just storms off in her car f'ing and blinding. No bother to her she was driving a x reg pug 206. It's disturbing people act like this no manners or any real concern for other people's space or possessions. The amount of times I get the w*nker sign for driving 30 is a joke, and the amount of people that try cutting you up or trying to side swipe you if your in a half decent car is also unreal, even buses are at it lol people need to calm down! I would honestly have a heart attack if I where to ever own a flash car like a Ferrari or similar, the roads are chaos out there if be too scared to drive it lol

Video clearly shows Black BMW driver physically attacking White BMW driver seconds before being rammed.

"after being attacked once, I saw him approach again and there seemed to be something in his hand which I thought to be a knife. Fearing for my life and that of my children in the car I tried to escape by driving away and unfortunately my attacker was injured in the process."

That's how I saw it. Yes it's horrific seeing someone hit by a car, but I am 100% certain he wouldn't have been if he hadn't attacked the driver physically. I can't imagine I would ever intentionally run someone over with my car, but I know I wouldn't sit there taking punches (or worse) to the head. If my attacker happened to be standing in the way of my only escape...oh well.

Finally we are back to the video. At the point he drove onto the car, the guy with the black shirt seemed to have been subdued and was being led away by bystanders (one of which also got hurt). Seemed like a cowardly attack to me.

it's not new and not just colour. In 1985 aged 15 my family moved me from SW Scotland to South Beds.
In physics at school (a class of 30 ish a couple of black kids and an asian, this was all new to me). Physics teacher(white 35 or so) asked what a measurement of pressure was. After a long silence I stuck up my hand and answered psi.
que the snide comments from the teacher that "it might be in jockenese land but not here in the developed world" .
This was blatantly racists but would never been seen as such. He never slagged off the coloured kids.

this was the Sam Whitbread Upper School in Shefford. Mr Handscombe was his name.
A complete fkwit, also told us his car had no spark plugs because it had a turbo.
In fact it was a 504 diesel.

Funny how some things stick in your mind.
Wow, I was at that school about 5 years ahead of you. I do remember Hanscome, the physics teacher and yes he did say quite a lot of knobbish stuff. Thinking about it, he was the first teacher I considered to be not fully formed as a card carrying adult, because of the surprisingly puerile stuff he would utter, had a proper mean streak in him.

Small world bloke. Us sasenacks are not all that way I promise.

Agreed. In any kind of congested conditions I just pootle along. Getting caught up in pointless duels with idiots is completely avoidable. It's exactly what some of these morons want as they see the road as a place to win, lose, put people in their place, get even, etc, etc.

You're right, but that's very easy to say yet hard to do these days. Lots of people are under a lot of pressure and it can often manifest itself in tt-like I'll tempered behaviour.

Definately stressful driving when there's high volumes of traffic, only most idiots don't realize your better off driving nice and slowly between lights they racing through them, and starting and stopping your car every few minutes. I absolutely hate driving in London, the traffic is horrendous on a weekday between working hours, I do feel our roads are way to small for the amount of vehicles we have using them!! That's another issue though lol no offence but I still think the biggest idiots out on the road, besides scumbag theives and non insured drivers has got to be cabbies, not so much black cabbies, but the idiots in the Prius's and mercedes e class', now I know the one mans actions can't account for everyone's elses, but I constantly see cabs speeding, jumping red lights Etc etc what's the point!! Just to earn a few more Bob, and maybe get a few extra jobs, funnily enough I see a black Prius totally written on after its obviously lost control and hit some railing a few week back, surprise surprise another cabbie frown

I agree black cabbies can be a testing bunch. The worse drivers in London are definitely the scabbies - non marked private hire vehicles.

To balance things a little, I commute into central London daily (Oxford St), previously commuted to RBKC, and don't have a problem - & that's 'jumping the queue' on a bike, tapping wing mirrors as I squeeze through, etc, etc. My big gripe is pedestrians, but an enthusiastic twist of the throttle normally scatters them.

I'll probably have some proper road rage to deal with tomorrow! Watch this space.

Same here, heart racing, adrenalin pumping etc. Getting away from criminal scum does that every time.

The text in quotes was my take on a hypothetical legal defence. No source other than my own imagination.

I didn't think any of it was funny, but can't help feeling that if he hadn't attacked the White BMW driver and had wound his neck in rather than repeatedly approach his car he would be walking straight today.

Not to excuse the actions of the White BMW driver, as he seemed to be just as up for a scrap, but sometimes we get what we deserve.

So you're one those idiot bikers who revs their engines whilst filtering, can't help but think you're a dick for doing that. Bet you give the bikers NOD of disapproval when something doesn't go to plan on the road. tt.

At least he's making his presence known to people who may otherwise take him off his bike...
