Imagine being stuck in the jam either side of these two idiots. I'd hazard a guess that a comment of "I say old chap, would you awfully mind moving to the side of the road so we can all be on our merry way" wouldn't illicit the most positive response. Very common occurrence.

People don't like to admit their mistakes which results in an attempt to defend their actions with aggression such as mouthing off and hand gestures.

The issue is that there are people out there who will slit your throat to prove you aren't as hardcore as you think you are.

I think that the ghetto/gangsta culture was strong here, which is mainly a black creation, but it has been adopted by Asians and white folk in urban areas as well, so I try to separate the ethnicity of the protagonists from the situation.

That subculture does have a lot of negative values around greed, violence and misogyny but people get it confused with race and use it as evidence for how they dislike that particular minority, when in actual fact a lot is a lack of understanding, fear, laziness and a desire to fit in with others of their group who also subscribe to that view.

Sometimes there seems to be a sense of glee when someone from an ethnic minority offends, look at the Daily Mail/Express, obviously all above board but you get the feeling they are saying through a subtext "look what this foreign bd has been up to, grrr, lets stir the hate up", I have found myself doing it, you see a headline like "Hit and Run kills toddler in Bolton" and I think "I bet that was an Asian" and it may well be but really, should be mainly concerned a child has died, certainly shouldn't feel a sense of disappointment when the miscreant is white, what is that about ?


Guess what I am saying is to try and think what you say and the reasons behind it, sometimes they arent very nice.

Not about race but about culture, this culture exists within a certain demographic be they white or black etc..

Yup. I came across on of these fellas whilst innocently driving past the Mozart Estate very early one morning. He stopped his car with no warning in the middle of the road, I objected, he took offence. I set off, he chased me. Half a mile later he caught up with me, got out of his car and started shouting through my (open) window.

I was still finding the whole ridiculous/borderline funny until I noticed the glinting steel thing in his right hand. He tried to slash me but the lights changed and I headed off on my way.
