This is kinda reminiscent of that video of the cyclist spotting a Corsa in front dropping litter and then decides to take it upon himself to throw it back at the driver and all escalated from there. Both at fault really. You provoke a reaction and then expect nothing to come of it. Just mental.

People are looking into it too much. We only have a snippet of information. A short clip to interpret does not tell the whole story. The fact is we will probably never know the whole truth behind it. I think there's clearly more to this than meets the eye. But both have most likely gone about their business that would only lead to this as a result.
Sorry you are wrong. I applaud anyone who sees littering and acts/challenges the person. Too many people in our society who will look down/avoid eye contact and grumble or sit behind twitching curtains.

If I see a litterer I say something. Regardless of how big or small they are.

To others- I cant see the OPs vid but why dwell on the filming angle? Anything the aggressor then does eclipses the filming.

If you or I did something wrong and someone was holding their phone filming it you'd grumble about the person being a knob under your breath and move.
What exactly am i wrong about? You've not understood what i was getting at have you? Did you even watch the other video? What i'm saying is person with camera (in either scenario) can't expect the opposing person to just apologise and bow down at their feet and admit they were wrong. That's all. They've not apprehended the other individual in a respectful manner. I do not condone violence but what outcome did either of them expect?

My wife (early 30s) has MS and has done since her early 20s, has had serious walking issues and chronic pain for years...
Used to get embarrassed using a blue badge due to the looks she got and the comments from the "grey brigade" many of whom didn't have a badge but think "disabled bay = senior citizens space"....I soon cured that problem....I can be very polite and incredibly confrontational at the same time...its amazing how many scuttle away when asked where THEIR blue badge is and if they would like to have MS....
If someone like RR man thumped my wife...I likely wouldn't bother with the polis...a smack in the teeth with a wheel wrench tends to put the message across far more succintly....funny how many "big" men suddenly develop an urge to be elsewhere when someone stands up to them and their bullying.....
One guard at the local tesco saw my wife and I coming in and said VERY rudely "those spaces are for disabled people move your car now!" I turned and told him extremely curtly "go have a look at the car, you will MY wife's badge on display, though you might want to tell those 3 elderly couples to shift theirs as NONE of them have a badge"....he scuttled off also....store manager and head office got a severe ear bashing from me for that...I was fuming well and truly that day....
People using disabled bays without any entitlement boils my blood...especially pregnant women and those with (non diasabled) children...having kids / getting knocked up is a choice...having MS isn't...however disabled women get maternity pay etc etc a damned sight easier and with less hassle and grief than disabled people trying to claim DLA / PIP.
Employers also more willing to hire a pregnant woman over a disabled person...even a qualified disabled person with experience...various excuses get trotted out..all of them code words for "no cripples wanted here"
I was agreeing with you as I read through that but lost all sympathy when you moaned about pregnant women using them.

Isn't that effectively the same thing as your wife? They have a condition that means sometimes they can walk far, sometimes perhaps not. The fact they won't be suffering from it 10 months from now has no bearing on their need to have food in their fridge today.

The world would be a happier place if only those who actually NEED disabled/p&c spaces (for whatever reason) used them, and those who are technically entitled, but know deep down they don't need them on that day didn't use them.

As for those raving tosswits taking a space to "prove a point" about marketing exercises and legalities, they should be shot on the door.

Show me the initial vid. I can then see. If you aren't built/strong then someone might use a camera/film as a defence 'look I'm filming this incase you have a go at me'.

If I'm doing something WRONG and I'm caught at it by a jobsworth I'd grumble but I most certainly wouldn't lash out. Theres a very distinctive line.

I do need to see the vid. I've seen the bike/litter vid. I don't think the cyclist did anything wrong - apart from not standing upto the moob/soft looking mouthy idiot.

Edit- Like I said the filmer is direct or uninentionally inflaming the situation (love to see the vid), but if I was there/overheard I'd say 'are you disabled then'?

When i asked "have you even seen the video?" i was referring to the cyclist/litter one. Think we're straying away from what i was getting it. Your replies are nothing to do with what i said. That's why i'm so confused.

I'm not saying who's right or wrong or agreeing or disagreeing with anyone. That was not my intention here and i'm not here to play the blame game. All i wanted to highlight was that the cyclist in the litter video and this guy in the disabled video both have something in common. They both reacted in a similar fashion and got a nasty outcome. This was bound to happen. That's all.

Yet it's pregnant women that bang on about the fact their pregnant not disabled. When it suits them I suppose...

I don't care too much what other people think of me, particularly not random strangers.
And here is the problem with modern society in a short but succinct statement.
I really do despair sometimes.
Me too, Seventy. Piersman2 and Photosnob would I suspect get on like a house on fire.

Whats wrong with not caring what other people think of you?

There is a difference in not caring that other people think you're a , and not acting like a because you just don't want to be a .

The self entitled prick in the Range Rover is the one to blame here, while the guy filming is being a bit knobbish he is also correct in what he says. If everyone just rolls their eyes and walks away at this sort of behaviour then people who do it are just going to continue as they are basically getting away with it. Since the supermarkets or police never seem particularly bothered by it what else is the guy meant to do?

In the end of the day those spaces are there as a legal requirement and to assist those who have a genuine need for them, and 99% of people respect this fact and realise that those who are at a disadvantage in one way or another are deserving a a little less hassle in their everyday lives. As with all things in lie though its the thick bellends who consider themselves above everyone else that make up the 1% who fcensoredck things up for everyone else.

All parking spaces should have room for anyone (abled or otherwise) to park in and to be able to enter and return to their car.

That's fairness. That's equality.

Nice in theory but doesn't work in practice in a Country where development land is in very short supply and planning rules stipulate a minimum number of spaces for a given store size.
