I'll have to check out insurance on a 350z but I do like them. For some reason prefer the infiniti over 350z even though they are basically the same. Can never get insured on an import in a million years so can't go anywhere bear them unfortunately.

EDIT: missed out the 350gt post, love the shape of them and basically everything about them. Are they imports? Would also have to check out insurance with them being a 3.5 V6

I'm not 100% certain, but I think the Skylines are the imports and the Infiniti are UK market.

As for import insurance, I've never had a single issue getting insured on one and they've certainly never made any noticeable impact on my quotes vs UK cars. What insurers are you using? My most recent was an Jap import RX7 and it was actually (very slightly) cheaper to insure that than a similar spec UK car - that was two policies over two years, one each from Adrian Flux and Competition Car Insurance.

I thinks its more down to my age regarding import insurance. I was checking on AXA as I get a discount with them which make it cheaper than most places.

Just wondering what it would be like using the likes of a VXR, Subaru 197 etc as a daily? Viable or does it get tiring or is it fun?

Well that is a massive surprise a nissan 350Z is the cheapest out of all of them to insure even though it's a 3.5L V6 RWD. So many choices to make smile don't know if I could go 3.5L
