Is your daily driver over 20 years old?
Discussion
Currently driving a 37-year-old MGB GT daily. Has about 130,000 miles on the clock and I will probably add a further 600 a month. It was my daily driver a while back, but spent two years off the road after a failed MOT - the first time I drove it again was to go to work on the first of this month. A few teething problems have now been sorted and it all seems ok, although I did have to borrow other cars at first due to some running problems.

My daily is a 1976 Rover P6 with backup being provided by a 1972 Beetle, a 1967 Herald 1200 & a 1966 Herald 12/50.
All well rustproofed with the best stuff on the market (Bilt Hamber) and all well maintained.
Modern cars just have no feeling!

My Jag turned 20 recently. It was registered in August but there's a stamp on the furl filler cap saying 260696 so for me its birthday is in June.
Hmm. If it's an XJ or XJ, then there's a fighting chance I saw it on the line... I did a Brown's Lane tour around that time.Daily here's only just turned 19 at the start of this month. A positive spring chicken, with just 50k on it.
I've been driving a 1987 Citroën visa 1.1 as daily driver for a long time, until 2014. Then I bought a Peugeot 406 V6.
Never had a problem with the visa but it has been banned of Paris last july, and it's going to be the same in most major cities That's one of the reasons for my choice.
The other is that I wanted to preserve it from rust.
But the Peug will aslo be banned in the coming years, so I don't know what I'm going to do.

Next year mine will hit 20. I began finding new cars boring, so gave them up. I bought the most mint mk1 MX5 I could find. I then started lavishing it with various upgrades. Great fun and nothing to go wrong. I will look after it and keep it mint. I plan to tour all over the place and will try not to put the top up if I can help it.
I still have my modern Alfa but I can't wait to sell it.
