the problem isn't that the choices are from PH classified, the problem stems from some folks getting dropped on their heads as children, and fantasising about earning 30k per annum and getting a 145000 mile '95 saab, after being given 100k to blow on a 'fantasy', really, if this is what people aspire to owning come the big payout, then they should all be shipped to peru. folks all seem to wanna make this out to be a £1500 shed-a-thon. clearly they have either got serious aspiration issues, or they are posting in what they think is a shed / Corsa forum. ffs, this is getting old news now, is there an editor or do these things get auto generated? sack the editor, or get a new software guru. my 6 year old comes up with better every time he scans the ads. time to find a new car mad site, this ones been taken over by old men and kids with flared arch fiestas
World in shock as man figures out people are different at age 49(?).

This is the one of the oddest responses I've read on an often very odd site. I like SAABs, that was the nicest one available. I pretended to have £100k and spent 3.5% of it on one of the things I like. Cerebral trauma is the only possible explanation! Good man.

No mention of Corsas or Fiestas, maybe next time eh?

I am genuinely confused as to why this very tiny specific thing would make you even a bit angry...

Your 6yr old should get into SAABs, they're cool.

Wow. Just when I thought your posts on this subject couldn't get any more petulant and pathetic you go and post that load of utter tripe and blow your old posts into the weeds.

I'm going to organise a weekly SAAB owners club meet outisde your house to give you nightmares.

Is there a minimum number of cars that you have to buy? If not, why does everyone choose so many?! You can't realistically drive 5 vehicles so at least 2 will just sit around.

Split into 3 roughly equal blocks, 100k would get you a fantastic daily driver/ sports car, a fantastic tourer/ family car and a fantastic high days / track car.

How about these?

not angry, not petulent, you ill informed losers. just tired of your meaningless lists of second third and fourth hand cars in a list that gives open season to hunt a gorgeous motor car, something that you'd never ordinarily get a chance to drive, or own, and the relentless poor choices made by the auto generator. used yo be a good site a whiles back, now its full of caravan owning austin maxi lovers, and wannabes. i shall bother your poor little minds no more. oh god i can still hear your adenoids

There's always one odd fella who thinks he's better than people for the weirdest reasons. At least he types like a guy trying to sound smart, that's always refreshing and original.

Everyone else, thanks for the comments. In no particular order:
Yes, I would die in an Elise SC, but might last a little longer than in an Exige.
Yes, I would prefer a nicer SAAB, but they're a bit thin on the ground.
Yes, the Suzuki Swift isn't the most inspired choice, but I like it as far as new cars go.
Yes, the Bonnie is a terrible choice for a city commute, but ye gods it's pretty.
Yes, 5 cars is entirely excessive but I like them all and had a pretend 100k to get them all...

Mostly I made up the list because I saw the 260Z and thought it would be fun.

The problem is being limited to the PH Classifieds. Obviously I get why they do that, but my £100,000 Garage was featured last week and didn't have a Saab 900 in it because there wasn't one I wanted at the time.

There wasn't a Gordon Keeble either, which is what I really want.

Thank you for your charming and insightful reply to my post, Mr (or Mrs?) lasvegas1966.

Others have made suitable comments for me, so let me just say that for me the fun in £100,000 Garage is seeing what cars other people enjoy. I note that information on your own car ownership is a little thin on the ground - others have been rather more forthcoming and have, like me, committed it to print (well, web) in the hope we may entertain. Would you care to join in?

I don't consider myself, or any fellow PHers ill informed or losers as you state in another post. My taste in cars includes Saabs (as does Paraic's): yours doesn't and the world would be dull if we all liked the same things.

For the record, I was born in 1968 so it looks like I'm 2 years younger than you, I have never been dropped on my head and I have never owned a flared-arch Fiesta. Or a caravan.

Never been to Peru either - is it nice?

Some cars are just plain cool regardless of their monetary value, others aren't even if someone is willing to pay a square gazillion pounds for it.

You, Sir, however do ocme across as the sort of person who knows the price of everything and the value of nothing... Plus you seem to post this sort of rant with just about every £100K Garage, what's your problem?

To me, this list is refreshing for the lack of footballers WAGs' SUV specials alone.
