In a moment of madness I've just bought an L332.

The front tyres are in need of replacement but the rears are ok.

Will replacing just the front two damage the 4WD system?

No. It won't damage the 4WD system at all.

No. The centre diff should be able to cope with minor differences in wheel diameter.

Thirded. But I will add that Range Rovers can be geometry sensitive, so if the old tyres have anything other than even wear it would be worth having an alignment check done once you're certain that all ball joints and bushes are ok.

I think I'm going for Pirelli Scorpions.

Pretty good on road and can still handle a bit of off road too.
