Should be sold with it written into the sales documents, that if you don't drive it regularly, you have to give it back !!!

Have Aston put some kind of rule gag rule on One-77 owners? I can't find any track performance stats or comparisons? This can only lead me to believe that it's performance is not up the 1.2m price tag?
That sound though! If money was no object, this would be the daily run around.
I love it, just very confused at why there is so little about them from a performance perspective. I seriously wonder if there is some kind of legal issue with anyone testing this against competition. When you buy the car you sign a contract perhaps?
It's got a 760hp Cosworth tuned V12. I can't imagine that the performance is that disappointing.
I don't think any of the Astons sell on their outright pace. At every price point there's something that'll monster them. It’s luxurious, exclusive, makes a great noise and has the Aston brand.

One came past me to my surprise coming out of my village towards Stratford upon Avon off a roundabout and to my delight sounded like he had his foot mashed most the way down. Sounded epic.

Much more so than the berk who always drives through the village in a knackered barry'd Polo Coupe full throttle everywhere. Just had to get that off my chest.

I was on track with one at Spa 18 months ago - the sound was amazing and they look astonishing in the metal, a very nervous driver though I kept up with him through 4 corners despite a 50% BHP deficit smile

Sir Harry of Metcalfe scrounged-up one for a roadtest (videos on Youtube) - watching that and reading it's write-up you get the impression it's not exactly an precision engineered and finished car (tho clearly it sounds nice/looks nice and goes well enough once you're moving).

They talk about it being a pain-in-the-arse to drive at slower speeds, hard to see out of, very hard to judge through gaps, gearbox has a bit of a mind of it's own at times and so on. All things you expect of unfinished concept cars - not finished roadcars.

I think we have to put this into the same hat at the Reventon and the Veneno - cars made purely to attract the attention of people with more money than sense (let's be honest - mostly Arabs then)

Ferrari and McLaren charge $1m for 900bhp fire-breathing nad-as-bd hybrid hypercars - Zonda make Faberge-egg-like things of great detail, Koeniggsegg do their own thing and give people silly horsepower - flipside, Lambo stick tupperware on an Aventador and a 000 on the end of the price and Aston made this...

OK - this is a BIT more special than the Veneno - but I think it really is a concept car they happened to make a few of - it ranks alongside those Pinifarina 'Ferrari' specials or the Zagatos which filtered-out over the years in limited numbers for 'special' clients...

It's not a defining moment in motoring - or even in Aston Martin's history.

Who cares??? This isn't a car to pose in pootling around town, but to enjoy on a long trip along some awesome A,B and mountain roads, where it comes alive (and where the gearbox is in its element) and draws you in. For its engine, looks, exclusivity, use of materials, sound and sensations, its arguably worth the asking money. I haven't driven one of course, but if Harry Metcalfes's impressions are accurate, I wager its worth the outlay.

Maybe it's me, but I can't believe ANY car has performance that justifies a £1.2m price tag alone!

I'm sure I saw one of these down Mumbles. It was dark but I spotted something low and wide and in the rear view mirror it had that full wrap around Aston rear light. I don't think that is on any other model.
