BMW 330 facelift for less than £4k??
You missed the thread title of best looking....
It's purely subjective. What in your opinion is better looking for the money?
Most other cars mentioned on this thread wink

Yep. Definitely the worst of the lot tongue out

The E46 is a very handsome, well proportioned car, if a little common, so doesn't attract attention as much.
The 406 is a badly under-wheel'd, but one of Pinninfarina's good'uns
The GT is also very handsome, although for me the interior design lets it down a smidge...

This, a late (facelift) 156 Sportwagon with Ti trim and the 2.4JTD derv. It will eat a GTA when mapped. I may be biased however (and mine is just the 1.9JTD)

A lot of good suggestions here - many thanks everyone!

Even though the RX8 is a 1.3L, insurance companies treat it as a 2.6, hence the 30+ insurance group. If I rang a few up, do you recon I could convince them to insure it as a 1.3L?
RX8 is also a 2.6 on the V5

And has higher CO2 output than my FQ330! £500 a year excise duty, sadly. Earlier cars aren't CO2 based but the best models with the upgraded chassis, the PZ, 40th Anniversary and R3 are all CO2 based.

Beautiful inside and out, and one of the best sounding V6s ever made.

The answer is Alfa. The decision is which one...?
My immediate thoughts upon reading the thread title hehe
The problem with getting an Alfa when you're young is they absolutely ruin you for anything else on the road. I bought my first one when I was 21. I'm 48 this year and have only had two cars since that weren't an Alfa (Golf and a Holden).

Whilst it's tongue-in-cheek, there is definitely an element of truth to it hehe I miss my 156 GTA terribly, for all its irritations it got under my skin in a way that I can't see anything else doing. I'm getting to the point that I can run something interesting again but have no idea what to replace it with. A GT 3.2 is very likely smile

Im currently having the "Alfa Problem".

Bought a 147 1.6 when i was 19 for £800. It was riddled with problems but had it for a year then shifted it at an auction when something serious broke. Had my sensible (and slightly quicker) Skoda now for 6 months and now im shopping for a GTV V6. Cant put my finger on why i prefered the alfa but it was just a great car and i cant bear to live without one biggrin. GTV V6 insurance is about £700 for me at 21 with 2 years no claims.

The gen 7 celica with the right factory spec I think looks great, a car that has definitely aged well, Mines gets many compliments and people presume its a much more expensive car than what it is, Cheap to buy, relatively cheap to insure, Fairly quick (190bhp), Nice interior, good fuel economy, very reliable bar the early 140's which had engine issues, Cheap parts.

Bought for £1400, although it is a jap import with rare factory fitted front lip, side skirts and 17"s. In standard form they can look a bit feminine.

Bmw z4's have also aged well and look very modern although the wheels can make a huge difference.

the 3.0 may kill the insurance but the 2.5 may be possible.

So many good suggestions here. Very tempted by the BMW 3 Series. Also like the Celica but it looks overly long.
