I've noticed adverts like this on autotrade,

I can see it was built for Russia and obviously there would be duty and taxes, but still very cheap and why on sale here.
Anyone able to explain a bit more

Being built for a non-EU market, there'd be no CoC, so it'd need IVAing before registration.

Russia only need to conform to Euro4 emission levels from memory, not the current Euro 5 for the rest of Europe.

I wonder if that car came from a certain partially capsized boat in the Solent??

Good point. The ad does say Euro4 emissions, and that'd be illegal in the EU for a 2013 vehicle.

Anyone ever bought and managed to register one of these "export only" cars in the UK? Often see interesting spec Defenders for sale. Especially East Africa RHD ones.

You wouldn't be able to until it's 10yo.

It hasn't got a CoC, because it's not EU-spec, so needs IVAing.
It'll fail an IVA, because the emissions aren't good enough.
